Their cities are named after Olympic hosts. Athens hosted the 1896 Games, Paris the 1900 games. I don't know if they're going to do repeats (I hope not for confusion purposes; Paris also hosted 1924).
Only rego's really pessimistic. Sunrise and Darell haven't been around too much over the past day or two. Byzantium needs to heal its wounds, and work the diplomacy channels to get some allies and give itself some breathing room, probably planning on striking with cataphracts. If they were 1t or 2t faster, they'd have been able to whip an archer, and hold the city. A fresh archer would have had +120% strength + any fortify bonus + 1 first strike (+50 city, +25 unit bonus from hill, +25 hill, +20 culture), and likely required 2-3 chariots to drop. Then again, my sympathy for them is...limited. Rego's exploits in war against Exploit bother me, and his actions here haven't helped. And it's rego's civ, he just happens to have 2 extra members on his team.
