Ruff_Hi Wrote:Here is a logistic puzzle for you ...Duh - meant 'and normal movement' ... was trying to rule out stuff like the +1 circumnavigation bonus and movement from promotions. My solution was 5 turns if I want to defend, 6 if I want to attack.
- you have 4 warriors that you want to move from A to B as quickly as possble
- you also have a galley (you can start that guy where ever you like)
- A and B are both on a long stretch of coast (straight land on one row, water on the other)
- assuming no roads and no normal movement, how quickly can you move the 4 warriors 9 tiles?
My solution was similar to that posted but slightly different ... I had B riding the galley for 2 full turns then getting off. The Galley then returns 2 tiles, picks up A and starts forward again. The posted solution above have B getting off the Galley and then back on later ... same result. A at tile 9. B at tile 10.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.
