The wildcard in this one was Whosit. If Whosit had played more self-centeredly, he'd be crushing the Inca right now instead. It might be the right call for him, but his entrance was never guaranteed. Also, if DMOC and Nakor only had to worry about Dantski, then they might have attacked Dantski, taken his cities, and been a useful ally to Spullla.
Spullla's gone over why it's been good for Kathlete to send just their leftover HA/chariot army, and they've really put themselves in the driver's seat with their two wars.
Krill's right: Tech trading makes it much easier to buy allies, even from the game leader's position, and also to catch up from a deficit. With tech trading, Spullla could have cut a deal with at least somebody, and the other teams wouldn't be as scared. A 5v3, with Spullla carrying water for Korea and the Inca, would be interesting, plausible, and far more even than this 5v1v1v1.
