Turn 1:
Very different start then I am used to, Medieval start which means that many things are already set. First thing first, settle in place and spread out units for scouting, 2nd settler follows river.
Bought 2 tiles and I intended to use builder for rice, horse and incense. After sending save I thought about it and it was probably not the strongest move. Craftsmanship boost isn't needed, so no need for 3 improvements.
What I probably should have done is improve horse and incense and use 3rd charge of builder to chop to speed up things. Too late now.
Medieval start means government and policies from start:
I chose Autocracy, no direct fight so no need for Oligrachy and it takes a while before districts are set up, so Autocracy is most effective from start.
Note that Veterancy also gives bonus to Harbors now, so faster Cothon build in Tyre.
Finally I used 3 promotions upon Pingala, after 5 turns much needed science/culture boost. 1 promotion remaining and I am going use it for 2nd city.
