In actual fact, by Athlete playing at the same time every day meant that they could also work around it. Now the clock has bitten them in the arse.
Do you think if instead of running the clock down to avoid pausing, athlete had just requested a pause everytime he needed one, Spulla would have seen that to be ok or not?
Athlete could have ended turn and then requested a pause every day so he could play.
