This is indeed Very Bad. My picture didn't save, but Mig offered Uranium for my remaining gold. The message is pretty clear, at least I didn't misinterpret him last turn. Pretty much all I can do right now is grit my teeth and bear it.
We've just finished Laser and have quite a few options, so this feels like a good time to mention tech. Basically, we're significantly behind Mig, with no good way to catch up. In terms of military techs vs. Miguelito, Mig is up Computers, Robotics, and Composites. Which means he's up Modern Armour and Mech Infantry. I am up Artillery, but that's not an expensive tech at this stage. Technically I am also up Laser, but he finishes that this turn, so not really. I mean, on the one hand, thank goodness I took the greedy peace. I was 100% correct that I had no chance to compete with Mig post-Piccadilly without something changing. But also, I don't really have a way to catch up, so the tech deficit is probably permanent.

As far as more productive, short-term thinking, I can go for Advanced Flight (Gunships, Jet Fighters), or Computers (prereq) into Composites (Modern Armour) and Robotics (Mechanized Infantry + Missile Cruisers). I put it on Advanced Flight, because I think the fighters and gunships will be 100% necessary to compete with Mig's land army. They're the only answer I have for Modern Armour especially, which completely shred anything of mine.
Want to know something really stupid? I accepted Mig's demand (what else am I supposed to do?), which sucked up all my gold. "Nice corporation spreads, Amica."

Bah, what a disaster. At least the name of the city is fitting.
Edit: Is it acceptable form to offer someone a deal, wait for them to log in, and see if they accept it? I am considering offering Dullland a loan, to at least spread my corporation around this turn, but I'm not sure if it's fair in a turn-based game. I'll just assume I shouldn't wait unless someone says something.
