By making too many assumptions. Here's the demographics screen for the most recent turn:

Here are the settling possibilities. I've marked with "0" those spots on which a player could settle on turn 0, and I've marked with "1" the spots that can be settled on turn 1. I've left off some spots that I think are unlikely (Assumption #1).

If every island has the same land mass (Assumption #2), then all of the turn 0 cities get either 7000 or 8000 land points. I can tell from the "Rival Worst" statistic in the demos screen that Leolo settled a spot with 4 land tiles. This seems very strange to me if we all have a similarly shaped island, so I'm going to assume (#3) that Aristobulus settled a spot with 5 land tiles. Ok. Now the math.
From the demos, we know that the rival land average is 7117. There are 17 rivals, so the total number of rival land tiles is (7117)*(17)=120989, which I'll call 121000. We know that the rival best land is 8000. We know that the rival worst land is 4000. So there are 15 rivals with a total land number of 109000. (121000-8000-4000) From Assumption #3, I'm assuming that Aristobulus has 5000 land tiles. So there are 14 rivals with a total land number of 104000. I assume (Assumption #2) that everyone left has either 7000 or 8000 tiles.
(And now I'm getting rid of these silly big numbers, in favor of the number of tiles. So instead of a total land score of 104000, let's just say everyone has 104 tiles.) If everyone has either 7 or 8 land tiles, we can express that as 7x+8y=104, where X is the number of people with 7 tiles and Y is the number of people with 8 tiles. We know that x+y=14, because that's the total number of titles. Y=14-X. We can substitute in the first equation: 7x + 8(14-x)=104. Or: 112-x=104. X=8. Y=6. So, if all my assumptions are true (unlikely) and I haven't missed something (unbelievable), there are 8 people with 7 tiles in their territory and 6 people with 8 tiles. If everyone has the same island shape, then those 6 people settled in place and those 8 people moved on turn 0.
