A big turn. Writing completes and I continue with Currency research. More importantly, faith ticks to 25 and I can unlock my pantheon. Both culture from plantations and culture from pastures are available, and I hesitate

Culture from pastures would be of more immediate benefit, since all my current cities have horses, and the planned 4th city has a sheep. So it would be of more immediate benefit. On ther other hand, eventually I will have more plantations than pastures, and they're generally also high value tiles to work. Maybe I would prefer to work pastures at size 1, but from size 2 on I would work plantations as well
Ultimately I decided that the period during which I won't get any benefits from culture from plantations pantheon is short enough that it is the one I'd rather pick. I will plantation the banana in Sheffield next turn, which will be worked right away; Sheffield also is getting the silk tile in a few turns, and the third city will start working a plantation at size 2. At that point, plantations pantheon becomes as good as pastures, and only gets better from there
This decided, I settle Birmingham, and then kill the barb camp

All this, plus meeting Greenline a few turns ago (still haven't seen his unit which made contact, but think it came from the east), put me at era score needed to avoid a dark age (for better or worse - as I said, classical era dark age into medieval era heroic would've been fine too)
The screenshot shows London builder coming out in 2 turns, but I actually reshuffled the tiles to delay it. Instead, I will buy a builder in Birmingham in 2 turns for 230g, and then will finish the London one
I also take note of Greenline's relatively high power, although mine will be 80 once the warriors heal (or higher? does it take promos into account?), so nothing too scary just yet
