I "should" have some screenies late tonight/early tomorrow for you guys, but having some company over so no idea when it might be.

In theory, we can wait to lock in choices until right before it's time to launch (just need it to finish editing the WBSave). We definitely can wait on screenshots to start making decisions.

Ramk got back to me and said he would just test the advanced start + PB locally himself in the next few days and verify whether it works as hoped.

Start with a normal game, no advanced start. Then when ready, save the map as a Worldbuilder save and load it as a custom scenario where the game options can be changed ... and if advanced start actually works, then you wouldn’t have to do anything at all beyond a normal map.

I thought this was how it worked, but I just tested this, and it didn't work for me. I started a new game as custom scenario, picked a WBSave I have, and ticked Advanced Start, and it just skipped that part. We may have to have a pretty lightly edited map to make this work? Not quite sure.

I tried this as well and it didn't work for me either  

I assume our starting screenshots with the same vision equivalent to 4th ring borders?

I'm fine with the 500 budget scooter proposed. Did we settle on a difficulty? Monarch? That will affect the tech costs.

The area available to build on in advanced start is a lot bigger than just 4th ring borders though

So, for starting screenshots do i need to show extra land? Do you guys have to pay to get visibility? i havent used Advanced start in SOOOO long.

Just start a game in advanced start and you will see the amoun and pattern of tiles that is revealed (always the same, regardless of land or sea)
