Are you, in fact, a pregnant lady who lives in the apartment next door to Superdeath's parents? - Commodore

Well, if we're even remotely on the right track (a big if), one reason to avoid Poke or Poking is that those clues could mean all of:

"things that do the poking around", e.g. SUPERHERO
"things that happen if you go poking around", e.g. SLIP
"things that poke out from places", e.g. RABBIT
"things that can be poked at", e.g. LOCK

whereas, in this context, Pokies can only mean:

"things that can be used to poke others", i.e. HORN, RULER, PITCHfork

So I would point to RULER next.

I don't see much point in passing. We need more information about this clue to have any hope of winning. The only time passing is really justified, I think, is when you are ahead and don't want to give the other team more information. (Blue did very well in not pointing to SPRING last round when they had the chance.)

I agree, Azoth.

I'd prefer PITCH first, RULER is a stretch.

Looks like Thrawn had it at least as a initial guess, so:
Point to PITCH

Framed 2
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."
