Fairly tense border here
Due to lack of lurker activity and a super busy weekend followed by birthday/people at work calling in ive been less than regular with my posting here. Any questions?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

You are keeping up with expansion, your demo's look good, you haven't Keshik-ed someone. Where is Superdeath?

Also, did you steal my PB54 naming theme?
Edit: I knew this, just weird seeing the cities of Wow and Starcraft II again.

Havent keshik'd someone yet because there is still a good chunk of land to settle + costs are driving me up a wall. Which is sad, because i could probably vulture Jowy if Ruff attacks him, Or hit Tarkeel and maybe take a wonder before he gets OPhants. Serdoa shouldnt be neighboring me much so not worth hitting him other than "for the lulz" but im avoiding that because i want another win under my belt.
Ger's are still nice for Knight-era attacks though! Might be able to pull that off on Jowy so long as i can get a good enough garrison on the Tarkeel border to prevent any OPhant nonsense. Clearing up techs i really need NOW, and then deciding if i keep farmer's gambiting my way into maybe Great Library-music artist... or if i rush to Knights-cuirs.. Or.................. both? We shall see how my last few cities look and who's power starts to rise.
Couple pics that are 1-3t behind
Settled this nice island hill city with double seafood. Will be a nice outpost and can work specialists for days. Might try and snag that little fish island
Got a settler that will be unloading on that center-sea island and hopefully find seafood in the fog otherwise ill be big sad.. although stealing the crab isnt the worst thing in the world.
Got my last round of settlers i think being produced now, and then its nothing but units/wealth builds. Yay.
If Serdoa trys to plant even more forward than that i will burn cities. Also wish i had his resources compared to mine. Sheep < Pigs. Once i settle that double sheep city i will have a huge monopoly on stone... if only that city could work all those tiles, except pindi is a special kind of mapmaker that enjoys putting peaks in places that prevent irrigation. Also a double crabs filler city that can only pick 1 crab to... Grab.
I put myself firmly with Jowy as tied for 3rd/4th currently. Serdoa in 1st, Tarkeel in 2nd. AT doing AT things, and ruff .... searching for bugs? Dunno.

Tarkeel and AT might be going to war, and AT has a naked settler about to settle an island that while its in his "realm".... he isnt defending it, and i was planning on settling it anyway. I was 2 more turns away from plopping my own settler down, so he has at least a turn to get a defender in there.. I may decide to not raze and resettle... but man, i have Triremes, he only has praets that HAVE to attack off boats? Yeah, i like my odds.

Tech thread and Serdoa growing bigger and bigger makes me want to stay friends with everyone else and ram knights into Serdoa instead lol.
I love all manner of lurker interaction with my thread. Even if you have to reuse my own stuff

That said, I am ok with reloading to turn roll and leaving it there.
I cant facepalm enough here. Serdoa getting another advantage or am i missing something because i dont have eyes on where this is exactly? Also LOL at Ruff again stating that serdoa basically is going to settle an island city. . gotta love Ruff's Tech Thread Information.

He got an archer in the city the turn i was going to declare.. so i wont now. Going to wait and see how these 2 wars unfold and maybe i can benefit on one side or the other.

Need to generate more gold income to fuel my monster research... hmm ... maybe Wealth builds is the future?
Maybe conquer more land if AT starts ripping thru cities?
Working on more infrastructure, i dont expect to get the mid's after they have been sitting around for so long but at the very least ill get some nice gold. If i get the mids i think i have a realistic chance of winning. The Great Wall is being built mainly for the GG production when someone invades me, as it helped tremedously in pb48. Also for potential failgold if someone magically beats me to this rather meh wonder.
I do want to know who looked at this ^ and thought it might be equal to this ...
I marked with a red city cross the closest equivalent on each side also for comparison i see alot more plains tiles and alot less food and.... uh... gold or even silver replacements on my side of this. Now, this would be easily explained away if i had a mountain vs mountain border with someone across from me to the southeast like Jowy/Serdoa.. but hmm....
Not "really" complaining of course, i do LOVE this map. But does make me sad to see so many better cities available to my competition in most of my pb's ive played.
