Hey Gavagai, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this thread. I really hope you keep posting at RB, you have a very interesting way of looking at the game. I'm sorry that I appear to have caused grief - my reasoning behind siding with Nauf over you at the time was in small part because of a grudge, but mostly for practical reasons. My perception was that you were close to running away with the game, and certainly ahead of me, and that a joint war against Nauf would just push you over the top into unassailable. Maybe that was wrong, maybe it wasn't, I don't really know. Although it seems like I underestimated your tech woes (and perhaps you underestimated mine?).  When SD offered to join (which I put some, but not as much, stock into compared to Nauf or your offers), I replied favourably. I actually regretted it afterwards, but I didn't want to back out of my deals after making them.

I also had a question, because I noticed you didn't build barracks in quite a few cities despite Agg (which seemed to be effective), but I didn't check for stables. I was wondering if you built any over the course of the game?

Hi! Thank you for your kind words, this type of feedback certainly encourages me to post more. No hard feelings, to be frank, I exaggerate a bit my emotions to entertain the audience. With respect you your question - I do not remember for sure but it is very possible I did not have stables. I recall I was starving for hammers for units so much that yes, finding an opening to even build cheap barracks was difficult. I had four neighbors and felt I need to be able to at least intimidate all of them. Also, I built rather few mounted units because my main opponent for the most of the game was you and you were overbuilding spears, so at some point I figured I need to counter it by mass axes (it feels painful to even type such a thing but my tech was that horrible).
