[PB65 LURKERS] We lurk in single-file to hide our numbers

Yes. But I want to opine anyway. wink.

My idea as a lurker is that this situation is just the usual greedy jostling between #2 and #3 (though Pindicator seems inconsistent about rather or not he thinks they really are #2 and #3...?) taken too far. Pindicator razing and resettling those empty BINGland border cities was not much materially differently than Mjmd poaching them in the first place, but trust is a very fragile things in these games, and actually pulling the trigger and switching the binary state from peace to war was too much and destroyed that trust.
You can push and be greedy with an "ally", but war is just too important as a signal, so if your greedy pushing requires actually declaring war, then you just cannot do that. Pindicator should not have pulled the trigger.

Agreed. I think the value of those cities was higher (for Pindi!) in the hands of Mjmd as goodwill, than whatever Pindi could extract from them. But there is also the consideration of the extremely unwieldy shape of Pindi's empire, which I don't think Mjmd actually sees.

I don't feel qualified to comment on SAC.

But I will say, that allowing a player you've recently warred with to use your borders to attack another player you have a treaty with, is shitty.

Personally, from that position I would never be giving OB to either. Not even with an eye to this scenario, but just as a 'no solace to the enemy' attitude.

It makes sense if you look at it as SAC’s giving CF the opportunity to use his culture to strike Mjmd who is actively invading
Idk if I would’ve done it, but I think it’s a reasonable move. SAC doesn’t owe anything to SD

It is good for your enemies to fight each other instead of you, and it is fine to facilitate that, including by granting them Open Borders. I think that no-one has done anything unsportsmanlike in-game. However, SAC's PYFT rating for these past months has been pathetic. Superdeath would probably not be so upset about the situation if not for that.

I think it would be fine if he'd stayed at war with SD. I think it's the fact that his culture protects CF is the shitty part.

I'm guessing/hoping SD is planning to attack Cornflakes through Pindicator's borders? I'll be very disappointed if he's planning a random attack on Pindi.

I thought it was the former, but then SD showed that Pind had revolted into Serfdom in the Event Log so can't change back for another 4 turns, so... I'm guessing Pind attack. For the fifth time, I repeat that I have no idea what's going on. crazyeye

Pseudo-edit: Pind seems pretty sure it's an attack on him, but isn't Pind like the one neighbor who hasn't annoyed SD yet? No clue.

To be fair it feels like Pindicator already conceded to Cornflakes with his determination to attack Mjmd.
But yes if SD does attack Pin that is pretty unsporting and “non-winning”, so I 100% feel Pin’s frustration and anguish

It could be SD is just trolling us all bc he’s bored, which I give 50/50 and frankly would be hilarious
Peace is non-negotiable
