Well, it's not barbs..... we'll see how much Scooter wants to make me suffer (or if Tarkeel takes that responsibility)

IIRC Tarkeel did not even see your borders initially in the jungle.

Narrator: he did get a wonder in there somehow. lol

I don't want to wait for a safer opportunity, Scooter will lose the chariot if he goes for the capture, and it will clarify his intentions

Scooter meanwhile looks like he's going to settle 3W of Cologne and steal the flood plains I was counting on. Really feels like our war if a question of when, not if

I can't remember if I documented this in my thread or only mentioned it to Tarkeel, but I realized 2T later that I could have sniped you here, actually. Had I declared prior to moving my Chariot, it would have teleported just outside the borders, and I'd still have 2 movement points ready to go. I kicked myself for not doing this. Commodore tried this on me later, but I had it covered because this ingrained it in my brain.

I only spotted the borders after moving, because I zoomed out to culture view to check something else.

I've had this one ingrained by playing together with civac; he's paranoid about people scouting with chariots and I tend to agree. If you're scouting with chariots, there is a real risk that you'll get declared on and have your scout killed just for the peace of mind of not having to defend every worker and city in range.

I honestly didn't expect it to work, it was a 12t build with no chops, that's not how wonders are built in MP lol but I really had to make this city work, it was the only reasonable way for me to claim iron. And yes, fighting a culture war with a creative civ sucked, but then Commodore insisted we ally against Cornflakes rather than you

I actually realised after playing that you could do it. At the time I felt we had a shaky understanding (other than around Frankfurt), with workers in the Cologne region left unprotected every now and then, and I didn't spend enough time assessing risks coming from you and your scouting chariot. As you mention elsewhere, blazing turnpace led to sloppy play at times

Yeah I didn't expect Commodore and Cornflakes to peace out and send their armies your way the moment you killed me
