lol

Why place that SE city on the floodplains? I understand getting the fish in range, but why not rework the dotmap so you place a city on the grassland that juts out - giving you a fish/corn/stone city. Stick Moai there (oodles of water tiles) and you've got a fantastic city with hardly any land taken up... and it means you don't have to "waste" a floodplains by founding on it when the 1S desert hill tile might be a better tile to found on.

I guess the current dotmap sits well with the Great Lighthouse city. It's still in draft, however, and you make a good point.

Here is the latest turn:

We can't make definitive judgements until we see what's off the SE coast.

We discovered BW at the end of the turn and caught up with everyone else at size 2, leaping to 47 points in the process.

Is there copper anywhere?
I have to run.

Here's a more zoomed out shot, with resource indicators on.

If we settle next to the corn, we could settle 1W of the clams, or 1NW to share the fish.

Ok, T15 played and sent.

Bronze Working came in and showed us where copper is.

Well, it can be used for another city site. It's a bit annoying in the sense that it will potentially boost the production of our rivals if they went for the low production, two-hammer settle.

Also, as you can see from the above map, our warrior discovered gems, but no seafood off the SE coast. Our current dotmap is looking ok at the moment.

Darrell's city grew to size 3. We revolted to slavery. The Wheel due in a (delayed) 5 turns. Here are the latest demographics.

Nothing to report.

And... the PBEM17 turn is in! Second in a day... nice.

That possible city site is made more viable by the appearance of corn.

Darrell jumped to 62 points and size 4 (so a tech in there too), presumably ready to whip down to size 2.

T18 played, but nothing new. Our fast worker (not sure if he's been named Arnie yet - will check next time) keeps changing his mind and cancelled what he's doing (as per the microplan luckily enough).
