Wait, was the AP Diplo Victory vote banned? If it wasn't, oledavy and StM easily have enough votes to combine and win the game out of nowhere.
Played in: PBEM 4 [Formerly Jowy's Peter of Egypt] | PBEM 10 [Napoleon of the Dutch] | PBEM 11 [Shaka of France] | EitB XVI [Valledia of the Amurites] | PB7 [Darius of Rome] | Diplomacy 3 [Austria-Hungary] | PBEMm/o vs AutomatedTeller

What a slaughter.

Good thing no one has nukes; those would be broken!

Nukes or no nukes has nothing to do with this. The reasons this is a slaughter are as follows:

1. #1 and #1a are dogpiling #4.
2. #1 and #1a are dogpiling #4.
3-99. See 1 & 2.
100. Darrell and nospace are vastly superior players to Dave.

Nukes wouldn't be relevant in this game since the two players who have a chance to win have a game-long MDP.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Those are reasons they would beat him even if it weren't a slaughter. But the reason it's a slaughter is collateral damage - bombers and battleships - which advantages the invader for the first time in modern naval/amphibious warfare. At least if they were using nukes, Darrell and NoSpace would need to expend a good quantity of hammers to kill all those units.

And this is with 3+ move collateral at the end of the tech tree. Unlike FFH, where that's available at the equivalent of late Medieval era.

I thought it was a slaughter because initiative dictates everything in equal-tech late-game intercontinental warfare, and Oldavy has the misfortune to move after both of his opponents thanks to timezones .

Also, RE: Nukes-

The biggest issue with nukes is that they murder all the fun out of a game. They don't even have the decency to grant you the illusion that you can do anything about them. Dave is totally screwed vs. the forces arrayed against him, but at least he can draft some infantry or something and pretend like maybe they can hold off a marine or two somehow. Nukes just fall from the heavens and BOOM opps your units / improvements / whatever died and there wasn't shit you could do about it except I guess maybe build shelters which just mean you have to get hit with extra nukes. You don't even get to see the cool explosions when you get nuked in PBEM games. And then nukes turn your land randomly into desert, which you're also helpless to counter.

You mean due to how he structured his NAPs.
