Played the turn yesterday evening - but I didn't had time to write a small update ... or to take pictures.

Both peace-treaties will expire this turn - I'll try to prolonge at least the one with Nicolae by a fake declaration of war followed by a peace-treaty proposal imediately.
Anyway - I'll revolt back to Slavery next turn and I'll whip some building ( especially the Moai Statue in the SW-city and Chichen Itza in NW one - for culture-resistence against Nicolae's advanced cities + 2 more Sacrificial Altars in remote cities from East ) ... and will be ready to whip some units too if this will become really needed.
The truth is that I overextended myself in East - for that reason I prioritize Feudalism ( will be ready in 1 turn - so at EoT of next one ) ... but even with Longbows in defense the UU of GingerEagle is ... frightening ...

But if I'll manage to survive for ~10 more turns ... I'll have a nice extended and developed empire ... we'll see what's happens next.

Another short update as I managed to play my turn faster than usual ...

Decided to declare "dummy war" to Nicolae ... let's see if this trick works.
I noticed that my ( temporary ) GP Farm has just 2 turns left until a GS will be born and as I desperately need an Academy in my capital I didn't revolted to Slavery yet ...
Feudalism was discovered at EoT - Literature ( 1 turn ) is next for the really important National Wonders which it provides ( as long as Great Library was already built by Nicolae ... too ).

Played the turn this morning ... and there is a bad news and a good news :

- Bad one - I lost Chichen Itza to GingerEagle !!
- Good one - Nicolae accepted my peace proposal ( in fact he counter it, probably after checked the status ) - so I could move my HA and few catapults to defend the Eastern borders ... where a scary stack of Chinese-crossbowmans and HAs was spotted.

On the good side - I'm quite sure that I managed to build Shawegadon Paya at EoT ... which opens the possibility to use two powerfull civics : Theocracy and Pacifism.

Need to check again the military forces on the Eastern borders before deciding if I could afford the risk to run for 5-6 turns Pacifism + Caste System - until I get Guilds ... because the Knights will be my only chance to hold such a extended borders.

OK - played my turn and indeed I managed to build it.

Decided to take the risk and revolted to Pacifism ... my upkeep exploded due to military units but ... a new GP will be born in capital in 5 turns. Let's hope that it will worth ...

I'm unlucky ( into real-life ) which turned to be somehow lucky into Civ4 games - the internal painting of my new house will be ready just at the end of week ... or begining of next week ... so I move to a friend for a short period - where I have Internet access.

So ... I'm still able to play my move at usual speed - but, as long as I feel the need for extra-adrenaline :P, decide to play even riskier next turns ...

I declared war upon GingerEagle - just to force him either to : accept peace 2-3 turns latter ( as I smell a very likely attack from Nicolae in 10-15 turns ) or to "force a wrong move" ( like a hurried attack from his side ). Damn - he didn't researched yet Construction until now - he's 1-turn away just at T 135 while fighting two wars with me !!
Nicolae was the first to Liberalism too ...

As a bonus for lurkers - attached is a picture of my capital ... could be worse but also could be muuuuch better.

Forget to mention that after obtaining the GE in capital I switched to Theocracy this turn ... more experienced units are always nice !

OK - managed to play my turn during afternoon hours ... situation is quite interesting ( meaning that it could turn both to shitty or to acceptable in 2-3 turns ).

On East : I managed to raze the border city of GingerEagle - don't understand his approach there : he had 2 archers, I killed one and he bring as defensive units just 2 HA ...
Interesting is that now a stack of ~5-7 units whose would be far better defenders ( like Chinese UU, axemans and so on ) appears in the area and probably will head towards my border city for a siege/sneak-attack.

On West : My peace treaty with Nicolae expired at EoT/on his turn. I'm in process to build several units in border-cities but if he will attack me in the next turn(s) ... I will be in deeep shit ...

Finished Engineering this turn - set research to Alphabet.

Well ... things are "on the edge" again on Western front - where Nicolae declare war upon me this turn and advanced towards my Jewish Holly City.

If he managed to raze another one of my city - after poor Lăcrimioara - well ... I'll be close to a nervous breakdown ...

Well ... the worse just happened.

Nicolae sacrificed 6 catapults for their collateral damage and I assume that these red-lined all my defenders ... because after that my defenders scored just a victory ( a crossbowman vs. one maceman ).
My Holly City was razed after this ( stange - why didn't he keep it ?? ).

He proposed peace after but I refused his offer. Why ? Well ... with another 10 turns of calm ( and a possible golden age from Taj Mahal ) Nicolae will be on an undisputable advantage in this game and we could give up ... now there is a small chance ( 0,(0)1 % ) for Sareln to realize that he needs to move his ass too and to benefit from the situation. Otherwise - we will be attacked by gunpowder units ... and will be anihilated anyway ...

On Eastern front GingerEagle is continuing to stockpile units near both on my two cities. Well ... still not a problem yet but who knows ?
