Would it be possible to use this to black click your entire continent and plotting down the entire coastline?

In practice, it can be tricky over longer distances due to the pathfinding logic. It can also be tough to distinguish coast/hill/peak elevation changes over long distances.
Flying camera can help by getting a different angle on things, but the controls for it aren't that great.

Do waypoints work in the fog? If they do, that would solve the pathfinding issue, i'd imagine

Waypoints work but the line displayed is unbroken(no circles/numbers). So it can be useful, but it's more difficult in some ways.

Message from Nakor to everyone else: Quote:Dear fellow space crash victims,
Finally we've all met.
I'm very sad to see so many other escape pods didn't make it to the planet surface. I'm sure we would have made contact otherwise.
We're all strugging to get some sort of civilization going within our limits but we must never forget the ones that live on this planet that destroyed our space ship.
They should be wiped of the face of this planet, at the earliest convenience.
Therefore I propose that we focus all our attention on doing that and withhold any future conflict between our civilizations untill that day has passed that we rule this planet and our friends are avenged. I propose we all expand only within our "gifted" lands and help each other untill a number of years have passed after the elimination of the hostiles.
I'd like to hear your opinions on this proposal.
Kind regards,
Nakor
This is interesting. He's basically proposing a NAP between all the human players, which is kinda absurd. I really don't see any chance of this happening for many reasons.
Even so, it might be worthwhile to agree to something like this and then back out of it later. I'm sure a plausible reason will be available, such as Ruff putting the great lighthouse city behind a wall of peaks or something. If I can get the Pyramids, that might not even be necessary.

T45 played. New plan semi-developed.
Currently, I'm researching writing, which will finish at eot47. After writing, I think I'll grab Masonry, and most likely follow it with Polytheism-Priesthood. With marble, the Oracle will only take 5 turns to build at Verne, and I can use it to grab one of a few different prizes. At 75 base hammers, it's cheaper than a settler, and would be my best shot at getting Christianity(or maybe something else.) If I invest into doing this and fail, well, it's all on the path to Monarchy anyway.
I'll have another settler out very soon, I'm not sure precisely when, and the best option seems to be to grab the furs in order to increase my happy cap, which will also grab the marble. (My fourth city would probably be positioned to grab the stone.) Quarrying the marble is halfway worthwhile for tile yield alone (1/2/3).
I may also go for the Pyramids, I haven't ruled it out, but I think the Oracle is a pretty good deal in the short term.

Oracle is definitely worth grabbing, failgold is a good alternative if it fails. What are your options for tech grabs? Do your opponents have a similar resource distribution?
I agree that there seems to be little cost in going along with Nakor's plan, and it could paint an easy target on your back if you shoot it down. Which players do you have best relations with currently?

Which is more important to you, Oracle or Pyramids? Does going one reduce your odds of the other?

To me, it's not a question of which is more important, but a question of cost vs benefit. The primary "cost" of the Oracle is a tech detour, but the pyramids are just so incredibly hammer expensive, even with stone.
They probably aren't conflicting priorities due to the low hammer price of the Oracle and the low tech requirement of the Pyramids. They only really compete on the question of stone vs marble, but the marble site gives me fur as well so I'd get that first anyway.

Okay, we're up to turn 48 but I'm a little behind on updates.
Over the past few turns, some barbarian warriors approached from the west while Peg's warrior wandered around on my eastern border. This disrupted my plans a bit and I had to build my third quechua ahead of schedule. Eventually I was able to maneuver well enough to kill both warriors before they could enter my territory and pillage anything. Here's the end result: Note that Herbert grew into unhappiness at eot. No productivity will actually be lost due to unhappiness.
Meanwhile, writing came in and here's my currently available research options: I started T48 by adopting some new civics:
(Obviously this was a bug and I corrected it before playing the turn.)
