I've been moving 'City' one tile southwest for a pretty awesome Moai location. However, I'd like to defog the rest of the south before making a firm decision on where to put it. I'm not planning on settling either of those cities for a little while anyway - I have some juicier locations to 'backfill' in the meantime

Quiet turn, started fixing the economy. First things first:



Still waiting for the borders of Palaven to expand, stagnated and running a citizen in the meantime:



Stopped three hammers short of finishing the spear - I'm already paying 1gpt in unit upkeep costs and don't want to increase that, so I put four hammers in a worker. I'm planning on swtiching to a granary next turn. I think I will grow on building a granary, whip it to completion and the overflow into a worker, then finish the spear. I'm planning on sitting down this afternoon and micro'ing all my cities out.

I'm also running a citizen in Thessia.



Thessia will also switch over to a granary next turn. I'm hoping NobleGas convert their sorrow at losing the Pyramids into the Great Wall, so I get some failgold to play with.

Another quiet turn. Started Thessia and Palaven on granaries, and whipped the Citadel for a settler. In the north, I'm moving Kaiden Alenko to do a bit exploring in between Commodore's core and pink dot. He moved a chariot to cover the worker, and presumably to make sure I don't do anything rash.



Palaven's borders popped EOT, but Thessia's didn't Weird.....



At any rate, I've now found the borders of all five civilizations. Notice the new grey borders that my warrior uncovered. Mistabod settled north of the capital. I'm planning to take up residence with my warrior one tile east on the grassland hill in the middle of the flood plains to serve as a sentry - at least until Mistabod settle the location, which I'm sure is coming.

Thessia is before the henge city in the city processing order, Palaven is after. So Palaven got an extra turn of monument culture. Same principle applies to Hanging Gardens pop, Taj Mahal golden age, etc.

Normally. F1 and diplo window shows the order. Cities being razed or changing hands leave holes that are filled when you acquire new cities, so the order can get messed up.

Actually, now that Novice has explained it, I like it. It's very logical.

Okay, I need to learn how to use this properly. Last time I built the Taj, it was in my youngest least developed city

... but keep in mind that commerce happens before everything else, so the only taj benefits you get in subsequent cities are production and gpp. Also note that building wealth/research happens in the commerce part, so if you have those builds selected they won't get the golden age hammer bonus. Crazy stuff.
