As you all go off down the slope, Menas kicks a pinecone by accident, which makes a fair bit of noise. A rabbit bolts out from in front of you, and at this point the eagle dives. It hits the rabbit, and kills it instantly. A couple seconds later, the eagle takes off, this time in a straight line, carrying the rabbit.

None of you sees anything out of the ordinary.

Menas returns to the party, trying to avoid looking at Mariel.

I will make a survival check to try and find the burrow the rabbit jumped out of. I also equip my handaxe.

Maybe we can eat baby rabbits tonight

(survival bonus is a 6 ... 0 from Wis, 3 from ranks, and 3 from it being a class skill)

Hey, I knew it was just a normal eagle, [according to my belated knowledge check ] but who knows whats in these woods! I mean I really think we should go into the forest every mile or so, juts in case there's anything interesting! Though maybe next time Mr. Clanky-clank should hang back and let the stealthy people head in first.
