I may be spoiled in that regard - I was watching one of my friends streaming a single-player game and felt vaguely uneasy that the turns were going by so quickly ![scared scared](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/scared.gif)
I'll be sure to check out your thread, picklepikkl. You had to be doing something right to get so many more thread views than us!
I think we certainly averaged 1.5 turns per day. There were days when we had 4 or so if I remember correctly. It certainly slowed down at the very end but the turns were taking a lot longer by then and I, for one, couldn't always commit to getting another one in outside of my usual time slot (i.e. at work!).
Thanks for the map REM, it is great. Thanks to Gingereagle, AdrienIer and El Grillo for being brilliant opponents. Lastly, congratulations to El G for being a worthy first place in this game. I'll try my best to ensure it's a bit closer next time!
I am very disappointed with my early play which set me back big time (I was last by a fair margin in all key demographics for awhile after the first El G war) but pleased I managed to get back into it. It was always enjoyable keeping up the border tension with El G to ensure he never had the opportunity to take me out. I must admit, Adrien, that I had no idea you could see basically everything I was doing all game. I was convinced my naval armada was hidden and would be a surprise!
Gingereagle, you were a good ally. We were basically the two losers for the vast majority of the game so helped each other out with trade deals throughout to stay afoot. There was not a lot I could do to help further but I had decided that I would not attack Chichester, whatever happened. I sort of redeemed Selsey by taking out Adrien's northern stack so I enjoyed that moment quite a lot.
