There's nothing we can build that gets odds on knights. Longbows on hill cities just about break even but both longbows and hills are hard to come by.

I screwed up. I upgraded an archer before promoting it, which meant I couldn't promote this turn. If Old Harry and co. capture the capital by the skin of their teeth, I'll be kicking myself.

It looks like last turn Krill declared war on TBW, presumably with the goal of burning stuff so OH couldn't take it. Don't know what TBW's going to do, but he might be in the funny position of savaging his former lands, now that he has stepped in for Krill.

After OH and Hitru took all of but one of our cities, they offered peace, so we now play a One City Challenge.


England to the South is at war and we're first in the turn split but I haven't seen any units. Literally all that's needed is ending turn. You've got a worker if you want to play around with him. He can cottage in place or whatever. Honestly, this civ just presses end turn until dead.

Duns are not relevant here, but I love that video. TBW was nice enough to ask what side of the timer I wanted, but since I'm working from home until we stop living in a Poe story, I didn't have an opinion. Although nice guy, that TBW, is one.

I don't know anything about the global picture (and can't wait to catch up on lurking), so I don't know if TBW is positioned to harry Harry's south while he's busy with Elkad in the East.

For what it's worth, I did slow build a library and I wasn't whipping longbows at every opportunity. Nevertheless, my conscience is clear. I don't think I was unethically lax building defenders. Not much to do when you can build longbows at best to face rifles. 33 turns and 6 longbows + 1 elephant gained. I mention this because I hope Old Harry and co. wasn't counting on me to be a solid firewall.

Do I have permission to start lurking again?    Seeing these gigantic score changes via PBSpy and not knowing what's going on is agony.

Sorry for not killing you faster Nauf, we actually wanted to leave Circei to TBW (after he had swapped to England) to get good border in place with him. Then after TBW made peace with you we were too busy with Elkad to send stack to kill you.

To TBW. You feel like a really nice guy and took really gracefully the whole Krill mealtdown thing (and while I agree you prolly should have kept units in Rome that turn Kril went way over the line on his thread). I hope you stick around here and play some more games (which you have already done ). We did not want to fight you after you took control of England and did not even consider it until the very last moments where we thought about hitting you or Pindi for more land vs Rusten to slow him down. Luckily we chose the correct opponent.

We also planned to target Pindi or Elkad with our knights first (makes more sense geographically), but once they reacted pretty strongly to our whips we decided to take a small gamble and hit you instead.

Also I agree that your starting land quality was pretty low compared to some other starts.
