Titanic 3

Okay, so we need to guess three words, one of them also overlaps with Cylindrical.

As all ships, Titanic had a DECK. I feel very confident about that one.

Titanic was on its way to USA (could be symbolized by WASHINGTON) when it sunk.
In the Titanic movie most passengers on first class wore a SUIT.
Titanic hit an ice BELT when it went down.
OIL is spilled into water when a ship goes down.

Of course Titanic has another meaning too but I can`t really see any word that fits. And which words overlaps with Cylindrical? I`m confused.

Jupiter (or Saturn?) has a moon called Titan. It`s one of the biggest in the solar system. I`m a bit worried about the fact that the blues have considered MOON, though.

DECK is obvious. Could be OIL, it certainly leaked. Remembering the movie, the sinking caused a VACUUM (though that didn't happen IRL), and they all wore life BELTs.

We also have one Cylindrical word left, which could be TRUNK.

Deck, of course.

Remaining two are more difficult. One presumably overlaps Cylindrical too.

Trunk, maybe? Isn't another word for boat stowage the "trunk", or something along those lines? This is likely the remaining cylindrical word as well.

Final word should be something related to a disaster, as well... or something gigantic. Something to justify a clue as specific as "Titanic". Or maybe Moon, since Titan is a moon. Kind of like that, actually. Granted Blue Team is also considering it for "Spin", and they need two more words without many more which might fit.

Are you all alright with speculating here as to what Blue's remaining words are too? I feel fairly confident we'll get at least two of three words here, but if we whiff on the third we'll probably lose anyway.

I’m feeling a bit unsure if we were meant to take this clue as just Titanic the ship, or also as the adjective form of Titan, which brings in MOON as a strong second choice and possibly Orion’s BELT. Is there any chance BELT is the missing cylindrical word, where you wear a belt as a kind of cylinder around you? The problem is I don’t see enough strong words for only the strict interpretation of the ship Titanic. DECK sure, then CLIFF in distant second, and then...?

In my experience, trying to guess the other team’s clues can just end up confusing us further. I’m willing to take a shot at it later if you all think it’s worth trying.

Anyway, I think we’re all on board (hah) with:

DECK is red

I think we should go for the ship-specific words and ignore the Titan connection.

TRUNK is interesting (and never crossed my mind). If we`re guessing TRUNK as our second word, then the last word could be one of (life) BELT or OIL as Titanic famously sunk and surely at least one of the words has to represent that meaning. I`m ever so slightly in favour of OIL over BELT.

I'm not convinced on MOON. I think that DECK and MOON would be connected through Tarot or by some reference to the Apollo missions. I like OIL and VACUUM, except that neither connects with Cylindrical strongly.
