Caster of Magic II Bug Reports!

An attack is something that calls the "perform_attack" function. A touch ability is something that increases damage dealt within that function.
I could code it if necessary but it's not logical. It would be an exception to the rule.


I think from a new player's perspective, there are two nature summons with stoning attacks, one gets a ranged stoning attack from focus magic and the other gets nothing at all. It's not intuitive.
Focus magic seems to channel all that unit's magical attacks into a ranged attack, so having it work with gaze makes sense to me.

Ah I must have sent the wrong one, I had enough mana income to cast it and as soon as I did it reduced the number of icons to the correct number. I'll see if I can find it.

Other things:

No visible production bonus from forest for Gaia's blessing in the city screen.

Bow of the reaper lists death save or die -3 in its description, but also lists "R. Death touch -2" on the unit that is wielding it.

Do you still get spells from banishing a wizard the first time? I think I have banished a few and not received anything despite having spells we can trade before.

Don't you get items from your opponent when you beat their heroes in battle anymore?

Edit: Found a crash bug, just end turn and it crashes (attached file)

Info button in battle brings up an empty pop up if there is nothing in effect to report.

Miner's guild bonus for minerals doesn't seem to be 50% anymore, it looks like 40%.

Crysx crystals 10 power gives +4 for miner's guild
Two gems gives +24 gold gives +9 for miner's build

Yes, but only if you haven't extorted a spell in diplomacy yet, if I remember correctly.

You should, unless you killed them using irrecoverable damage.

Crash confirmed. The cause is the city on Myrror at 2,10. Land shouldn't be allowed to generate at X=1, X=2, X=max-1 and X=max-2 coordinates, so this is a map generator bug.

Confirmed, there was a typo in the formula. It really was 40%.

Percentages are rounded down to the nearest integer in the calculation so it's actually only 26%. Maybe I should increase the accuracy to include the 0.5% as well.

Even 26% * 20 base RP should provide 5.2 RP though, rather than 4.

The city I looked at was producing 19 base research which was 4.94 at 26%.

You're right, they're all 19 now that I look at them again. Not sure why I thought they were 20, though I could've sworn that's what I saw, yet they can't be based on the sources.

Merlin has no sorcery books, but keeps casting floating island (save attached).

The event where a wizard suddenly disappears seems a bit extreme, my main ally and trading partner just disappeared and another time it helped my opponent on myrror by eliminating the other wizard there.

I am thinking that lightning resistance from insulation isn't working properly. My beastmaster had 9 base armour, elemental armour, large shield and resist elements making an armour against ranged magic attacks of 27 and yet 3 shots from storm giants almost killed him.
The insulation was on a shield item I made with no other properties.

Do you have a save file for a battle with Insulation against Storm Gianst?
I see no bug in the code but I'd like to test.

Here is the save file....I have call the wild so the number of storm giants is slightly random. Move the beastmaster to the tower right next to him and just take the efreet. The storm giants will target the hero. 
I tried the battle again and they killed him easily, so I was lucky the first time I played it.
