Dude. If you're a name seer and you are given the name drone as a result, do you know what that role does?

It would certainly give more information than the faction leader names.

Especially given that there could be/seem to be several drones, the name "drone" would give away the role to the nameseer

I guess Lewwyn is trying to say is that drone, thinker, empath etc. are "names". Role seer gets to know the abilities, like Mattimeo's "Riot". In other words role seer = ability seer

I agree with serdoas points except that I haven't brought anything helpful - I'm even starting to think my fuckup has its benefits. I wish it would have settled the question of evil drones though.

In fact, I would have used my power on him, but I a) didn't necessarily want to talk to a corpse all day b) if he was jailed or protected, I was afraid my power wouldn't work.

So we have a trusted speaker (Serdoa) make an argument like that and the NAP is using it to start a wagon on me?
