Let's figure out a tech path, and use that to determine an expected attack timeframe. We want to nail that down soon, so we can start broadcasting our intentions to Commodore.

It is currently Turn 158, and we make 150bpt at breakeven (about). We can probably assume a gradual increase in that amount over time as our cities mature and such.

So here is a list of the techs that we absolutely NEED to pull off this attack.

* Horseback Riding (401b)
* Machinery (1127)
* Monarchy (483)
* Feudalism (1127)
* Guilds (1610)
* Construction (I'm including this since we only have 252b left and are finishing it off this turn)

All of those techs are single pre-req techs with the exception of Monarchy. That's 4110 beakers, which divided by 150 is 27.4. With some assumed increases in our tech rate, plus a turn of anarchy as we revolt to Caste / HR, let's say 25t to research those techs.

That's.... discouraging lol

That would allow us to attack with Knights, as well as a slow-mover force of xbows, catapults and elephants. Adding 8t or so for Civil Service would allow us to add maces to the fray, though that doesn't really add us too much.

Seems like about 40t for us to be able to attack? Does that sound about right? Any way to speed this up? Or do we need to "slow down" and research anything else? We can do some wealth builds maybe?

Pindicator via chat Wrote:we could 1) build wealth (i don't suggest doing this as we need infra / military)
2) bulb part of a tech
3 - keep in mind we are talking about normal speed, so that is really 25 turns is closer to 16 turns of quick speed

One thought I had is that we could run merchants in Church Lady instead of scientists, which would allow us to bulb Paper (instead of a scientist bulbing Philosophy). Less overall beakers, but much higher immediate need (seeing the tech of Yuri)

Mist bulbed a 12 point tech, which, in looking at the tech preferences for scientists, was probably Alphabet. Hmmm.... that plan sounds familiar lol

Add an engineer in there and I'm game; a low odds engineer would speed us along to Guilds by bulbing Machinery. Paper is good for us because of UoS, so I'm all for this plan.

Rego asked me to do the MM for building HE in Hannukah Song. It's.... gonna be a while

First attempt has us pulling in HE at end of turn 171. But then we have a size 6 city with no growth putting out a base 11hpt.

The problem is this city has no food and we have two workers in the area. We need to put Coneheads on worker duty and get at least 3 more workes out pronto so we can can farm and workshop this town up. It may be better to get a slower HE in so we can farm some tiles and grow the city higher. We may want to think about farming over those flood plains - barring that then farm some grasslands. But we need workers for that.

Also - we have to have Monarchy by end of 161. Because we need to be able to get a last whip in for the barracks on 162 then revolt to Caste the same turn.

There are 2 workers being ferried over from Wayne's World, if that helps.

Yeah, we still need to build more. What do you suggest for strategy in building HE? I dont' think we can do any faster than turn 171, but it might be better to grow the city to size 7 or 8 before swapping over to workshops, even if this means a slower HE. And if you agree with this then do we farm the flood plains or farm the grasslands?

Krill definitely seems like he's up to something. He keeps "Parkining" the turn (logging in multiple times without ending turn).

I will try to play here in a bit

Phew. I was right about Krill being up to something and also glad to be right that it doesn't appear to be us (yet)
