Yeesh. That's uncharacteristically foul-mouthed for Pindicator. I think we need to help the brother out.

So, Pindicator's mild derangement aside, I think the investment in privateers has paid off handsomely, killing off twice their numbers in galleons, denying a decent number of GA water (Moai!) tiles, and spawning me a great general. Now it's time for the frigates to move up; I won't be holding any Indian lands until rifles, but I want to burn their fleet.
Here's the battlefield; I'm leaving the islands captured from the Zulu on their own, if Pindicator wastes ground troops and galleons retaking them I'll definitely win the hammer exchange. The privateers have succeeded in enraging the Zulu, so I expect an attempt to burn some of my holdings. I want the GLH and Hindu shrine intact; but the north of India can be regrettably razed for the cause. The massive Moai city and Jamba Juice can be forked next turn.
Otherwise, the fronts are all pretty quiet. Lewwyn is annoying with his East Indiamen, but given their rate of religion spread, I suspect these are defensive/scouting ships. If otherwise...well, I'm screwed, but he's screwder. :P
Not screwed is Serdoa; looks like he's got landbound oil. A mild case could be made for trying Domination if one of the bigg'uns lacks oil, but I doubt we'll see that with anyone substantial. Maybe sea only/vulnerable land oil could give a shot, but that's a fraught proposition at best. This is going to be a nightmare.

Ah, got this email. Pindicator's a damn decent sort; losing at those odds is enraging, and if you think the names are taunts...
Quote:Hey Comm,
I need to apologize for letting my emotions get the better of me. The
names you chose for your privateers were a bit insensitive and
upsetting, but I didn't respond in a good way and I'm sorry for that.
(Just in case you haven't noticed, read your event log to find out
what I'm talking about.) I'm a bit ashamed for not catching myself on
it earlier because I've known you through RB long enough to know you
wouldn't do something like this with malicious intent. I should have
just sent you a note like this letting you know that I didn't
appreciate the names rather than escalating in kind.
Sorry for being a jerk about it, and I hope to be a better sport in
this and hopefully many future games.
-Pin
I replied letting him know where the names came from. We good.
...not that it changes the plan:

How many turns of forced peace are left? Is there anything in the gentleman's rules to cover the situation of racing to be the first to act after forced peace expires?

It's up next turn, and we've been maintaining the turn split throughout the peace...through most of the game, actually.

So basically, I'm about to dump a dozen frigates *on top* of that galleon stack. Wherever they go, then, I'll be able to match them. Not a chance of being sneaky now, thanks to Mr. AI...
...bugger.
