Epic Eight - EGYPT

Not I. I was on disagreeable status because of religion for part of the game (until flipping to Free Rel), but since Elizabeth was stronger and bigger, she got most of the war declarations and general anger for Hinduism instead of me. Other than the occasional ankle-biting from the Chinese and Arabians (which seemed totally consistent in a "we need more room!" kind of way), I let the bigger people argue and fight and just stayed in my shell.

Mansa's mini-invasion was the only point where I said, "Oh, wtf is this?!" Everything else made reasonable sense.

I've never really gone for a big-time diplo victory before. Might try that next time around.

I use it sometimes, but only did so for one single tech in Epic 8. I find it best when I'm behind in tech and not dominating the GDP graph, so I can take advantage of discounts as the AI researches techs ahead of me. Plus, if I'm not a tech leader, my military might be weaker as well, so having the cash on hand is great for quick upgrades or rushing. In a game where you're well ahead, it seems like tedious micromanagement.
