If you can you really want to get the the copper mined asap so that the new city can build a work boat off it to catch crabs - not something I would normally recommend!

Here:

I prefer option 1 over any others for 1 reason and 1 reason alone - It gets the crabs online earlier and they are food. Food is what you need!

Another alternative would be to grow to size 2 and whip the WB.

So a WB is 30*0.67h = 21h so - the mine will finish t40 meaning the new city will get 3h (37) 3h (38) 3h (39) 6h (40) 6h (41) WB completes eot 41.

Going the whip route would be longer.

What I am thinking is styles workboat completes in 2, borders pop in 3, but there is nothing else crying out to be built at styles, so I was going to build another WB there and send it round to Windsor. It takes 7 turns to build and get to crab, so basically the same as whipping.

That way Windsor can focus on a monument and other needed infrastructure and I can finish the road to the city for the trade route and movement

Well, I founded Windsor this turn, and started onto a monument.

Research wise, I weighed up writing(5?), sailing(5) and ironworking(10) as this next tech, and decided to go sailing now I am founding coastal cities everywhere, and I shouldnt need to chop a jungle in the next 15 turns anyway



In other game news I did not report on religion yet, Buddism dropped 2740BC and Hinduism 3280BC. Given thats 10 turns between the 2 I am thinking Ioan double founded then built the oracle in 1900BC, hence his score lead right now

I wouldn't build a monument first in Windsor - it doesn't need culture really since all its good tiles are in the small fat cross. Maybe another WB for the Crab/Fish?

true, its a bad habit I have gotten into, will switch to either a WB or a granary next turn, probably a WB

So styles completed a work boat,its a bit small to start on a worker, so another WB is ordered up.

I remember to switch Windsor to a granary

Chop comes into Brussels, and the road keep rolling to link the 2 cities



UP north I have now done my pass of TTs land, and it seems he is in a bit of a corner, but backfilled to get that copper

The only thing I am not sure of is if there is a bit of a land bridge due north of his capital




Thinking it may be worth trying to pen him in asap
