Maybe the Axe/Chariot combo is the weakest link here, but he cannot nab the workers in the same turn, plus I'll have 2*Axe/Spear combos to kill off his units. Kind of regretting not moving the southern pairing up to completely cut him off [except for a gap in the Mountains] but maybe he'll take the hint and finally bugger off.

Just noticed that Ioan's stack is standing on a Pig tile, so think there's a possible twin to Ivory Tower to be founded on the north coast [need a suitable name ... Pigs & Fish ... hmmm] Meanwhile Alec & Wilf finished their chop into the Library and are set to road next turn.

Elsewhere we welcome LeonardSachs to the workforce [now building a Hindu Monastery in Dairy Cottage] He's joined TedHeath to chop out this build.

Socrates is going to be cheeky & road into Sareln's culture

George & Peter have finished their Mine near Rose Cottage, also roaded the tile this turn as well. However, there's a Barb Warrior nearby, so they'll have to find something else to do deeper inside my culture next turn.

Larry will finally start Mining the Gold up near Mouton D'Or site.

He has only 1 way to go with that stack now ... well, he could go 3 other ways, but that would be suicide, surely. Tila & Kenneth are still the weakest link, but they're on the Jungle Pigs tile now. Damn, I need Iron Working, if only to rid me of this pesky Jungle!!

A whole day's delay & what happens? Bugger all!!

Well ... actually ....

Hindu Temple finished in Ivory Tower, so I'm letting it grow while the Hindu Monastery builds.

Erm ... for the sheer hell of it I'm building The Temple of Artemis in Dairy Cottage.

Ioan didn't move ... grrr!!

The Barbarian Warrior has moved close to Rose Cottage, so hopefully Qscar [Archer] will get his next promotion when it suicides.

Oh, and the Great Lighthouse completes next turn ... fingers crossed.

Dammit!! That Barbarian Warrior has destroyed a Mine near rose cottage!! Why didn't it suicide like a good little barbarian?

Dammit!! Ioan has added a Catapult to his stack!!

Dammit!! 2 turns ago, Ioan also managed to kill Kenny ... you bastard!! [Actually KennethWilliams, my Chariot, but the South Park reference was too good to pass on ] How did his chariot manage to kill mine, @ 50% odds, yet left TilaTequila [Axe] totally unscathed?

Dammit!! Lost sight of Ioan's tech this turn, have switched around the EPs - Sareln [110/118]:1, Nicolae [0/34]:1, Ioan [60/120]:2


To hold his stack off, I've moved SimonAmstell [Spear] to join Tila, while GrahamNorton [Axe] is heading off to the east to deal with that pesky Barbarian Warrior.


In the South, another Barbarian Warrior has spawned; so number-one-barb-killer-Ellen has moved to engage next turn.


Just checked the tech-rate. Monarchy will complete in 3 turns @ 100% [61 beakers @ -35G/turn] so that's 1 more turn @ 0% [+14G/turn]


OK, definitely need more military, so:

Also, Hinduism has spread to Duracell Batt1 [how did it side-step Craven Cottage?] so 1 less Missionary needed, unless, of course, I send him to Sareln

Yay! The barbarian Warrior finally did the decent ting and suicide itself on Rose Cottage; Oscar now has the City Garrison II promotion! That means Graham doesn't need to trek across the empire, I'll add him to one of the blocking stacks. Ellen, meanwhile, had to kill her barbarian Warrior as it strayed too close to the Farming Workers.

After the Great Light-House, the economy is looking much better:

0%: 30G/turn
B/E: between 40% - 50%
100%: 80 beakers @ -34G/turn

Therefore I only have to be @ 0% for 1 more turn than the research time [approx]

Monarchy in 3 turns [cost 102G, have 115G banked, excellent!]

But, as Gold was connected last turn as well & the happy-cap rocketed, the cities are growing again, this can only improve, especially Mfg when I revolt to Organised Religion.

Monarchy completes @ EOT - so we can revolt to Hereditary Rule & Organised Religion. handy that a Hindu Missionary got built this turn & is ready to convert Craven Cottage just before the revolution.

@ EOT, tech reports that iron Working [next in queue] is a 1-turn-tech, once I've raised 40G [hmm ... 1 or 2 turns @ 0% then]

Hmmm ... he's added a CI-Axe to the stack!

Revolted to both Hereditary Rule & Organised Religion this turn, also dropped tech-rate to 0% for when we come out of anarchy. So the tech queue is:

Iron Working -> Calendar -> Horse-Back Riding

Will consider working some scientists once they grow to size 10.

Another Barbarian Warrior has popped up to the south, guess Ellen will be busy again very soon.

So .. no-one bothered to guess, eh? Have my lurkers deserted me?

Anyway, I can report:

100%: 83 beakers @ -42G/turn
B/even: 40% gets 33 beakers @ -3G/turn, 30% gets 24 beakers @ +3G/turn
0%: +23G/turn

So, 2 turns @ 0% to raise the funds to 1-trun-tech Iron Working.

Ooh ... there's a Worker in Ioan's stack now, is he roading towards me? I plan to attack that stack the turn after next, maybe JoeO'Shea will rejoin the workforce.
