Worker need a new assignation.

No clue what is the right move according to you so I do not play that turn.

Oops, forgot the Worker would need new orders!

Glad you waited- it seems I also accidentally butchered the Warrior directions I left you- if the Skeleton moved onto the Forest (which he did) you were supposed to move the city garrison north across the river *BUT LEAVE THE 2nd WARRIOR IN PLACE!* This was so the Skeleton would be forced to move across open terrain to get closer to the city (at which point we could attack him at 50% odds with one or both Warriors...)

Also, why did you not mention our Scout came across a Hill Giant at the end of last turn??? (or did you mention it and I just missed it?)

Anyways, here's the turn:

Notice the directions for the Worker- Chop THEN Farm. This is so the Settler can move through the cleared forest tile and found the next city 1 turn faster... (conveniently, this will actually make up for the 1-turn delay on the Settler by not swapping to Agrarianism and starting on the Settler sooner...)

Please REMEMBER to do this as the sign directs! Don't have the Worker start straight off on a Farm!

Also, our Scout is now running from a Hill Giant:

It seems our merry scouting clowns can't get a break! Hopefully this Scout doesn't meet his demise as quickly as the last! The next move should be to move him onto the forest two tiles to the south. Keep an eye on where the Hill Giant could potentially be, and NEVER move anywhere he could attack the Scout in a worst-case scenario...

Here's the end-turn:

The Skeleton is now on open ground, so both of our Warriors should attack him next turn! Be reasonable, of course! If the Skeleton defeats the first Warrior and still has 20-50% odds on the next one, then move him to defend the city (where the river, city cultural defense, and Warrior bonus in cities should all help the odds) instead of attacking again!

Did you pop mining from a hut or something? Can't seem to remember that.

Third city could try to pick up the gold to the SE somehow for +commerce boost, but a bit hard to dotmap down there.

Turn 30 played.
Had to take decisions.
Worker can't chop because mining is not available.
so was sent back to build a farm
Settler ready. I started a warrior, cause there is only one available, and he will follow the settlers to the new city site.
did not take the promotion, the warrior still is in the city (was on tile next to the city after destroying skeleton)

Not sure I want to gamble the new city against barbs, may want to wait for warrior.
Hope you'll be back soon.

Moved the scout soutward to go avoid the Hill giant on the north route.

I think worker should get the floodplain by the new city farmed as soon as city is settled. Probably more important than a grassland farm at capital...not sure if there is time to put a turn or two in the farm, but new city needs the food.

Old Lion- situations like that, where you accidentally send a Worker onto a Forest tile and then realize he can't chop- are where it's perfectly acceptable to replay that turn for yourself before sending it on...

You should have been able to see we couldn't chop at the end of the turn where the Worker first entered the forest. Did we just waste a Worker turn?

Also, barbs that can enter territory don't spawn this soon- I think Settler should move directly to the new city-site...

Loaded up the Turn 30 to check on things...

You made no mention of the Scout encountering a Wolf (which would have happened if you had moved him 2 tiles south like I requested). And the Settler was already done, and I have no idea if you wasted a turn keeping him stationary in the city.

Therefore, I'm replaying the save and sending it back out... Can't take any chances of compounding more errors here (and moving only 1 tile south with the Scout would not put enough distance on the Hill Giant, or encounter the Wolf I remembered was lurking over there before... Wasting another Settler-turn, if you kept the Settler in the city, would be even worse...)

OK, so re-played the turn and re-sent. Wanted to get screenshots this time anyways...

Can't reclaim that lost Worker-turn, but that was sort of my fault anyways. The Scout fighting the Wolf and getting the XP and the Settler moving west is how it SHOULD HAVE happened, though, if you followed my instructions (and maybe already did- in which case the replay still allowed screenshots since you posted none...)
