Yes, definitely Ivory.

In no particular order:
Hotel - might have one in the lobby
Rome - the word is Italian
Swing - music you could play on one
March - ditto, but less so
Bell - another sort of instrument
Foot - for operating the pedals

Oof, tough to choose which two come after Ivory. My initial instincts were Swing and Hotel, but I like those less and less the more I look at the alternatives. Hopefully someone will have some strong opinions to guide us. smile

My top three would probably be IVORY (keys), FOOT (pedal), and BELL (another musical instrument).
I can also see MARCH (composition) and SWING (genre).
Beyond that, the connections get hazy.

After reading the spoilers:
Dp, we seem to be thinking along the same lines.
As to the other words: I did think of HOTEL. ROME I don't like at all: it's a huge stretch for the first clue, especially since there are easier ways to link IVORY/ROME (Carthage/Hannibal, hopefully picking up some other third). It could well be IVORY/HOTEL/SWING but in that case I would have expected a more specific clue, like Jazz 3. The fact that it's Piano suggests FOOT is more likely.
I'm less sure of BELL, though.

TURKEY has a long Mediterranean coastline.
ROME is near the Mediterranean.
The PYRAMIDs are near the Mediterranean and a river that empties into it.
Lots of HOTELs are on the Mediterranean coastline. They might have a DECK where you could enjoy the sun and view.
Several movie THIEFs preyed on tourists in Mediterranean resorts.

Turkey and Rome are obvious. Pyramid makes the most sense to me for the third, Egypt borders the Mediterranean.
