Zalson Plays One Turn At A Time (DEITY: Loss)

Nice to see some phalanx production. They will be useful. nod

Isabella and Gilgamesh have units wandering about, I notice. Any sign of them sending significant forces against Hun? Or just the occasional unit to promote the defenders?

2x whip the phalanx at Sparta. Overflow onto monument.

Athens starts its worker and Corinth starts its monument. Lo, it is as it was foretold long ago.

2 workers move to the sheep and start a pasture; the other heads back toward athens to put down another riverside cottage.

I probably need to get a phalanx in the area sooner rather than later... That was the city garrison 1 archer that attacked out.

I hadn't meant to play this turn but I hit enter out of habit but pls no barbs do not give a worker to PACAL. WHAT'S EVEN THE POINT OF THAT?

Sparta will finish its monument next turn and then go right onto a settler. Because there will be nothing else for it to do, really.

Workers finish the pasture and a cottage at Athens (3 turns left of whip unhappiness there -- or just enough to put a 2x whip of a phalanx into that library. I have to dial down science for 1turn because I forgot that whips cost you pop and thereby commerce.

The next move is to give a cottage to Corinth, off the lake. Not ideal but better'n nothing. I should be able to 2x whip into the pyramids if I want to at Athens -- and I think I'm going to.

Then I can regrow on the library and -- hopefully -- 3x whip it into the pyramids. Pop a quick scientist and then  bulb math. Sparta and Corinth can focus on Hun and doing everything else.

That barb worker is very odd. Could it be building a road to somewhere? Barbs will build roads between barb cities. But with Pacal in that direction I can't see any place it might be going? Strange.

I hope it's roading!

Sparta starts its settler.

The barbarians continue to bait me. I think the worker was headed for Avar. I'm moving the phalanx over to Hun to ensure that I can kill a weak unit next time one exposes itself.

The barbs do seem to be shuffling some units about. You might get a chance to vulture a worker or perhaps even a city. smile

Yikes - I hope you and the family are doing okay, Zalson! I was close enough to the Sonoma fires to be affected by the smoke, but thankfully nowhere near the actual flames. Hoping for the best for your home, and especially for all of you!

Thanks, Ref and haphazard1. Things are going ok now; flames have stopped with the wind but everyone's still evacuated.
