Turn (67)

Well no score export for this turn. The past couple of days have been a little messed up with me getting the turns. I seem to be getting them at completely different times than I was used to. This should all change now and I think we are back on schedule.

For starters scouting info from Australian borders

Nothing of interest really that can be said about the next few turns of scouting as well.

Back at home however...

Looks like Persia is moving forward. I still need 2 more turns before I get some more troops built. This may be the end of me, but there will be no surrender and all Polish soldiers have prepared themselves to fight to the death.

As can be seen by the score I am getting slaughtered. Well I took a gamble and it backfired, not much to do but fight on. It does look like Suboptimal is not doing so well. Maybe I can hold off
and end up finishing in second place. Doubt it but my stalwart defenders shall do there best.

First up finally I get PP and go with this civic setup.

While horseman to not get the extra +4 they do have superior movement and I need movement to close in on all of the ranged attacks that are coming for me. Also I only have one iron so only bastion could build swordsman, so horseman it is. At least my warrior gets a boost.

Now I do think that Australia would like me to declare war on him, so that he can get the production boost. This has been in my war planning thoughts for a few turns and I ultimately don't do it. Mostly because now I kind of want him to loose. That's what he gets for not giving me oranges. I may re think this decision if I am able to hold off the Persian invasion, but for now I'll let the duke knock him down a peg.

Back at home...

I am able to redline one Immortal. I don't want to give him the opportunity to siege me down and position himself around bastion, so I am kinda forced to throw everything at him.

I am still falling further so the fate of the Polish Empire now stands in the hands of Bastions defenders.

Here is a look at the beginging of the turn.

F***ing barbs!!! Just what I need. One Persian Immortal promotes and he moves in. Looking over what I could do I continue my attack and ended up with this.

I take out the Immortal but my horseman is going to die. Not sure if that was the right move, however Alhambram is at peace with the duke and Australia. That means he can still get movement whenever he wants and I can do nothing if an Immortal gets by and start pillaging my shit. My second archer is moving in and my western horse moves up. My choices are limited but we shall see if I made the right moves.

Scout in the east...

Persian Military is still much higher than mine, I also think reinforcements will be in soon enough and given I am already outnumbered this is probably a loosing battle. BUT A BATTLE IT SHALL BE!!!!!!!!!!!

In news concerning the warring east, looks like Suboptimal is getting spanked. Well I definitely did not want Archduke to run away with that side of the map. Not sure If I can hold on long enough for Peace with Persia, but my citizens cry that peace can only be accepted if Rose is returned, which I doubt will happen.

First up scouting news

Well after several uninteresting scouting turns at least I have spotted a barb. Nothing I plan to do though I think I will heal on this forest, with barb archers and swordsman possibly lurking in the fog makes sense to be at full HP.

Back at home,

AS IF ONE BARB SWORD WASN"T ENOUGH!!! Well since it is well know that Polish folk always think positive we shall consider that free experience. As I thought that horseman got killed. I make these moves and...

If I am lucky my horseman will live and I can get him out of there. Also the sneaky Persian became suzerain of Armagh and they are at war with me as well, just great. Well next turn will be even more exciting. Lets see how long I can hold out!

Turn (71)

Well windows went ahead an ninja updated over night and I must have forgot to save my export file. Well the score was still me in last. I am slowly getting my Military up. Alhambram had some promotions to take so he did not attack.

At the end of the turn I went with this,

I was able to run my horseman away. He was dead if he stayed, he will resume his flanking attack after my other horse join the fight. Was able to hit one immortal with archer fire and my other archer shot at a barb. I don't see much other option than going towards Rose after these next 2 horse finish, I can deal with the barbs later now I need my city back.

Scout in the east is just healing up

One thing to mention is that Archduke if I remember correctly has about double Suboptimal's military score good luck, If I hold on long enough I may not be first to die. My game hangs on my success around Rose. Next turn I finish Mysticism and will have an envoy I plan to put in Armagh, get the faith going as well as remove the possibility of them messing with me. Lets see what happens! lol

Yea bad timing, that camp they spawned from has not bothered me until now so I can not complain to much. We shall see what the Persians end up doing.

I went to bed early last night, and did not have time before work to play my turn. I was able to play it at work, it just becomes to difficult to populate the forum table from a remote connection so there is no turn data to show. Rest assured I am still loosing though. rolf

Well Persia advances...

Maybe the barbs will end up helping me. One turn until Jess pumps out a horse lol

. Two turns until bastion can, at least with there being units in sight the barbs are not pillaging my shit any more.

I was very excited this turn so I did not enter in the data, also noticed an error on my part.

Persia in in full retreat!!!! The barbs i think helped me a bit here. Time to regroup and then take back rose. My plan involves assaulting the city with 2 archers and 5 horseman. Hopefully this will be enough.

I SLOTTED THE GREAT SCIENTIST CARD AND NOT THE GREAT PROPHET CARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a bit pissed off about that. Trying to get games and rec ASAP to swap out. Also this is when I noticed that Archduke is winning in the east. Well hopefully the Aussies can hold off.
