[Spoilers] Alhazard goes back to BTS

Yeah, you should assume that he didn't move any stuff yet so you can take the first half. Unless you want to wait for him to play to get the second half of the timer. A PM to say that you've attacked and taken the first half of the timer would be useful, so that he's clear what happened.

On the warrior my guess is that the mapmaker screwed up.

Honestly I really messed up here. Once I saw the spear on T85, I should have moved all my chariots down to hit the bottom city on T87. I did show a small stack of 1 movers on the visible hill as a diversion.

Now that the city has expanded it's borders, I had to attack. I could have waited until Discount card built a library and popped 3rd ring borders but he could add more reinforcements to that city.

The first attack got an above average result landing 2 hits on the spearman.
2nd attack was chariot against archer, landing 4 hits, which was lucky.
3rd attack was chariot against spear with 76/100, landed 4 hits which was lucky again.
Then chariot against quechua, won at 34.8% with only 20/100 left, lucky again.
then chariot against combat 2 axe, landed 5 hits and lost, above average result still.
chariot against 40 hp archer, won but got hit 4 times, which was unlucky.
start clean up with chariot vs 24hp, flawless win, lucky again.
chariot hits axe once and autoraze city even though it popped borders?
Came out ahead if you count the cost of settler and granary and wall on DZ's side.

Honestly was expecting a big mounted stack on my doorsteps, but what gives? Not sure what DZ 1 whipped out on T88. Messed up again because I thought the chariot would pillage the road but it pillaged the ruins 1st. Gotta risk it again because I would like to pillage the road if possible.
I don't feel good about my situation at all since I had to war so early, and now potentially hearding to irrelevancy. Really dislike how 1 player's actions drag others down in a FFA but c'est la vie? Look at Commodore. He barely has an army and now spamming cities no matter how bad his dot maps are thanks to his shrine and rapidly expansion religion. I really hope I can get to galleons and strike at his shrine city. Just unbelievable that this is not on a hill.

Note about T90. Finished rax here and 2 whipped a spear that was 3/35 in bambi that I shouldnt have in hindsight. I didn't like how this city is working 2 unimproved tiles but still had 3 turns until whip anger woreoff. Also letting the spear finish would have resulted in lost overflow since Bambi is generating a lot hammers. so dump overflow into HA and then next turn give copper mine to DotF while spear finishes. What I should have done instead was to put hammers in the ger then 2 whip that into HA since 2 promo HA is way better than 1 promo. However, I can't rule out that DZ might show-up any moment with his main army

so DZ asked for peace last turn but it ain't happening. It's now a battle till one of us gets conquered. In response, I whipped 2 raxes overflowing into spears because I expect a mounted stack any minute. However, this turn DZ declared on Commodore? Not sure if this is a fake war or an aim for the shrine to salvage his economy.

Well from Commodore's response, it looks like this is a real attack. Will plant replacement city in 2 turns and now building up an army to raze the other front city to the north.

Realized that DZ built a monument! in the front city so I need a library in Bambi next to keep the forested grasshill tile to deny vision. That city has to go ideally before it pops 3rd ring borders. I really didn't like this Commodore plant but I see that he thinks there is enough food with the lighthouse lake tiles, except this city took way too long before it got there and he doesnt have cheap lighthouses. this city should have not been planted that early.

T92

Whipped archer in government plaza completes Granary with overflow and whip another one next. Those archers will act as MP for Bambi and DotF while I push units to DZ. Just sad that DZ isn't working those food tiles but I guess he is doing alright for now?

T93

Uneventful but this is where I start having buyer's remorse with HBR before currency. I think just city raider axes could have been good enough attackers based on str/hammer. So slow in getting to HA since I am just now building Gers because HA really need the 2nd promo to be effective.

The crazy turn where DZ declares on Commodore. I had just whipped raxes in the capital and Nan Madol to prepare for DZ's army but what gives? Why not finish off RM 1st? His WW must be at least 2 faces by now.

T95

See that DZ slow built a HA in his front city. Now I am thinking he is coming for me also and ready to hunker in. This is the turn I also realize the disadvantage of going 1st because if I put a stack next to his city, he can dry whip another defender (or draft later) that I have to face next turn, compared to if you go 2nd, he cannot whip out another defender next turn in time. However, I declared to go first just because of the playing windows we have in the interest of moving the game in a speedy fashion. Now what I am doing in Bambi is that I put enough hammers in the Ger without going to 30/60, which will make in only 1 population whippable, and instead completing the Keshik as much as possible, then whip the Ger to make two Keshiks with 2 promo. Why am I doing this? Because I want to attack the front city as much as possible but want Bambi to at least work the good tiles (copper and fur). See Commodore's army but here is where I think he was complacent because he was moving units to a barb city that should have retreated immediately.

T96

Planted new city. Another thing I don't like about R&F is that there are too many leaders that get +2 movement points for 10 turns if they declare a war under certain conditions. I thought Cyrus in base game was enough to show that this is a bad idea? The counter of course to autodeclare when you meet them (including Genghis Khan here), or declare before they can fulfill condition but its basically the same counter. Boring and unintuitive gameplay. See Commodore's iron in the 1/2 bare grassland hill so he shouldn't have a problem making spears.
