[spoilers] Pindicator and Regoarrarr - Bismark of Ethiopia

Gaspar finished off the turn while I was in-game so I got to see the turn rolled.

Nakor finished off Philosophy and founded Taoism.

I'm not sure why you have a sign on the hill at OTOF saying "DO NOT MINE" - wanting to windmill it?

Borders popped at The Golden Rule; obviously no southern island lol

There were no good 'N' cast names to name our new worker, so I went with Nora Dunn. I sent her to workshop a plains tile 1N of Coneheads. Remember that we don't have Civil Service so there's only one (plains) river tile left that we could farm there.

Man am I stream of consciousness posting or what rolleye lol - is there any reason we should hide our trireme from Yuri?

Okay a few more things lol

* I promoted our Horse Archer in Toonces the Cat to Sentry. He should move E-SE onto the border hill and back each turn just to see what Krill is up to.

* We are a few beakers (and gold) short of completing Feudalism this turn, so I dialed us down on science. Remember we want to minimize our overflow since our next tech is Machinery, which we potentially are going to bulb.

Currently we have 12 artist, 51 engineer, 87 merchant, and 75 scientist points. Over the next 2 turns, we'll get 84 merchant points, 12 engineer and 4 artist points. I'm not sure if it just divides the denominator by 333 (instead of 300) or how exactly that works, but if we assume it will be 333, then that gives us the following odds:

* 51% merchant
* 22% scientist
* 19% engineer
* 5% artist

So 51% we bulb Paper, 19% we bulb Machinery, and the other 2 I'm assuming we just hang on to for a golden age? I don't think we'd want to use our GA right now, yes? (Even though it would drastically speed up our next 2 GPs out of Church Lady)

I ended turn but if you want to take a look around we should have plenty of time. I think Dazed declared war AFTER Krill played, so now we have to wait for Azza -> Krill -> Dazed to play in order.

I thought for a second that if we teched Paper our merchant would bulb Guilds but alas, Civil Service is in the way. Doesn't seem worth it to tech Paper AND Civil Service.

For the record, scientist bulbs Philosophy and artist bulbs Drama

Eventually we want to mine it. But it takes less worker turns to build workshops on the flat grass and plains tiles so i just meant that we should mine it after all that.

Doh. Forgot that important detail! Definitely workshop then and we may only need 1 worker at Coneheads since growth will be slow. I will recalc that because we may still want another worker down at WW. (Or can the worker at TGR get back to WW in a reasonable time frame to build a workshop? Will need to figure this out.)

No reason to let him know we have built any, i think.

Just got released from jury duty - thankfully i got passed up for a 3-day trial - so i'll take a peek at the game in a few hours

As for what to do with our upcoming GP... Are we against a GS bulb for Philosophy? Artist could be valuable in a war but after my Justin Bieber bomb in PB7 i think you need to strongly vet my decision-making in that regard.

I vote that we hold on to the GP if it is anything other than a GE - i think that depending on what the second great person is will determine what we do with the first, which we use for a GA and which we keep for other purposes

Oh, and i think that we want to use our GA after Guilds to get knight production going. Thats still likely our bottleneck

Okay: plan for Coneheads. First thought was that we wanted to maximize growth (farm riverside plains, workshop grassland) but it turns out that staying at hammer value divisible by 4 will net us better production in the long run (max growth puts us at 7/11/15 production, which loses too many hammers to make up for getting to size 9 a turn faster).

Nora Dunn -
t168: N, workshop, cancel action (already done)
t169: SW, road, cancel action
t170: W, farm plains
t174: finish farm (this is the turn Coneheads grows to size 6 - we want to work the farmed plains to grow faster)
t175: E, finish road
t176: NE, finish workshop that O-worker started
t177: N, workshop (joining O-worker)

O-named worker - (finishes end of t171)
t172: N, workshop
t175: cancel action after workshop on this turn (so cancel with 1 worker-turn to go to complete the ws)
t176: NE, workshop

The two workers end up moving together workshopping the tiles in the following order: plains 1N, plains 2N, plains N-NW, grass W-NW. We can probably pull one worker away after the 3rd plains is workshopped since growth from size 8 -> 9 will be slow. Workers after that can farm Schweddy Balls or workshop down at Wayne's World, depending on what they need.

The growth of Coneheads goes like:

(end of) t171 - worker #2 finishes
t172 - work current tiles (+7f/+3h)
t174 - grow to size 6; new citizen on farmed plains tile (+7f/+4h overall)
t176 - grow to size 7; new citizen on workshopped plains tile (+5f/+8h overall)
t179 - grow to size 8; new citizen on workshopped plains tile (+3f/+12h)
t184 - grow to size 9; new citizen on workshopped plains tile (+1f/+16h)

If we workshop the grass tile W-NW of Coneheads that will be done by turn 185, and we can cap growth at size 9 with 18hpt production by swapping off the farmed plains tile. (Or if it is an option, it is probably better to watermill the farmed plains tile instead.)

Coneheads will produce:

t172 - worker
t180 - trireme

Sound good?

Yes that does sound good. Does it help anything if we take either of the seafood back from Church Lady?

I don't know if that would be worthwhile or not (I think probably not) but it's an option once we get our next 2 GPs

That would definitely speed up growth but the growth is already pretty damn close to the rate of tile improvements so it may not be such a big help. If we have food to spare at CL i'd instead give it to CJ to help that city grow onto its tiles.

I just realized i need to somehow share all this work i've done so you can pick it apart as well and improve it. Worker improveents are pretty straight forward on the mainland but HS may be a bit tricky.

Okay, if anything isn't clear (and some stuff probably isn't because I didn't always note citizen alignments on the page) then let me know. And let me know when you find the errors smile

So either Commodore wants to attack on T193, or he doesn't get what we're trying to say lol
