Seven is just saying that you need to log into the game to pause it. Hence it is an in-game action. Which is technically true.

Well, obviously I'm disagreeing here, there was nothing more diplomatic in these actions than discussing about a pause or reload in the tech thread. I thought that we were only doing a favor to all the other players by solving this issue without reload. So personally it's pretty annoying that bad will is interpreted into our actions.

You're mixing up your claims here. Saying that pauses and coordinating playtimes are out-of-game issues is something that both our previous posts agreed with. Similarly, saying that moving units to raze a city is an in-game action is also something we both agreed with. Saying these things doesn't support your claim of "no way!"
Pausing is literally an action in the game. So is playing your turn. These are in-game actions just like razing a city.
The need to organize playtimes so the turn advances at a reasonable pace, and the need to pause the game when this fails, are out-of-game issues. So is potentially reloading after a city-ownership-level misclick.

Pausing doesn't affect the game board any more than pushing the clock changes a chess position. If you're discussing in good faith you know what I mean but if you're trying to win semantic points with a specific definition of "game" that isn't the one you know I mean, you can do that too.
I'm not claiming bad will, I'm claiming stupid pauses like this delay the game for all.

Hmm, now that I think more about it, I have to admit that it would have been safer to simply wait and let Brick handle this in order to guarantee that no party benefits from these actions in any way. So yes William, I admit you have a point. It just felt a bit dumb to wait for an admin when we thought that the situation can be easily fixed and I'm sure OH just wanted to be helpful and keep the game rolling. I apologize for the tone in my previous message.

Cheers, and I recognize that your team was just trying to speed the game along. I'll try to keep frustration and irrational hystrionics aimed at other people confined to my own thread from here on out.

Considering they're using it in lieu of an admin action and doing it here in full view of everybody I think it's ok. I would judge the intent as being more important. Plus, the time someone retorted to an admin issue I brought to an IT thread by saying "no diplo" I thought it was really facetious and totally missed the point.
Anyway, they're trying to do us all a favor by finding a solution that doesn't cause the game to be held up. Why punish someone for that?

You sound really frustrated that I have a different opinion than you, and it doesn't look like we will convince each other. Since you're not on anyone's case about this anymore I'm fine with just dropping it. Cheers.

I will be away in the kicks with no connection for three days, coming back and able to play Thursday. I will ask someone to stand in for the turns, but he will only be able to do so if they are straightforward. Apologies for the suddenness, especially as we've had a few hold ups recently.

Sad to say I have to ask for a pause this turn. The turn will end before scooter and I can collaborate on our half of the turn.
