ill move it to the hill. I am probably being too paranoid anyway, if we get super unlucky and lose the city we'll just have to take our lump and move on. but you're right, its very unlikely that will happen.

I moved the axe onto the hill, but apparently my picture didn't take. we have 99.8% odds attacking, so shouldnt be an issue. hopefully he suicides, otherwise we can retreat to the city or just attack outright.

moved a second worker on here to speed up the mine. azza has expanded borders and we don't, so need to rush it. we can have a second spear (finishing this turn in maths) on the hill before the forest disappears. then 1-2 spears can cover the eastern forest.
the northern worker that just finished the farm will cottage safely away from the border.

whipped worker in popol. no overflow. think we need a military unit next, maybe a chariot to deal with barbs?
![[Image: GdejjsF.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/GdejjsF.jpg)
aeneid finishes its library at EOT. archer is for transport to song of roland.
we got updated maps from scooter:
not pictured: one city that autorazed.
just amazing, heh.
BTW, Azza settled a 9th city this turn. not sure where yet, I imagine on the ivory island.
Commodore revolted to HR and OR.

logged in to this trade deal:
I declined. Commodore has a size 12 city, so he may actually need the health, or it may just be a good will gesture, not sure. but regardless, we have absolutely no use for health. our biggest city, gilgamesh, will be size 10 in 2 turns but has a 14 health cap. plus we have crabs already in our culture (not in a BFC yet) that we can net any time we get around to building a workboat.
Clams we won't get until we conquer azza but we won't need it for a bit.
commodore already played the turn, I'll offer him a counter offer of rice+furs + something else for elephants before the end of turn (we complete construction this turn, and can produce war elephants next turn).
so the spear did suicide:
![[Image: hELDlej.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/hELDlej.jpg)
not really sure why - if we attacked him we'd have 99.8% odds. we had this plus a 75% defense bonus, so he had astronomically bad odds. I'm happy though. I'll have to start paying more attention to Lewwyn ![wink wink](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/wink2.gif) .
I think I'm going to build an archer in popol - it can complete in 5-6 turns, move up to song of roland, so we can focus on other stuff in the aeneid (like another spear that can cover the worker in 6 turns when it needs to build a winery right on azza's border).
this happenned as I was online:
CFC Jester has been officially kicked off its Island continent ![lol lol](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif) we got +1 GPT in trade routes immediately ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) . (we were +1 at 50% when I logged in). between brick and scooter we are +1 in imports at 26, whee ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) .
I decided to hold off whipping this. we are only 6 turns from monarchy, at which point we can revolt to OR and HR. seems a shame to whip now when we can put it off for 6 turns and get more overflow after we adopt OR(plus work the plains cottage in the interim). Also, gilgamesh needs the grains atm, so the iliad will have a hard time regrowing. in 6 turns gilgamesh should be size 11 and can let go of the grains.
not sure how long until the lighthouse starts to decay, we'll just have to pay attention to it. we can always whip it immediately if it does decay. I think buildings last for awhile though, we only recently lost the hammer we had in a barracks here, which was put in ages ago.
BTW: Statue of zeus was built in "unknown land." my best guess is plako. Also, Xenu popped a great scientist.

offered this counter to commodore. Hoping the trade offer means he needs health now (rice is 2 with granary) and will reconsider now. also he is done w/ his war with scooter and probably will not need to build elephants.
set the research to 0 after the turn rolled so he can counter if he wishes. I think it'd be worth as much as +3 per turn (at least for 10 turns) just to pump out 4-6 elephants to be safe from azza elephants. But I'll let Lewwyn decide that.

ok, this requires some explanation.
I moved the third worker in because I was afraid we would lose cultural control of the tile before our borders popped and azza would sneak in and minechop the mine and steal our hammers. I moved the spear from maths to cover them. the chariot is just a body in case he gets bold and throws everything at it.
Azza has 3 HA, a praet, and 3 archers in the city. we have vision all the way up to presets so anything in the fog can't attack us in one turn. only the HA can hit King arthur - we have a C2 spear, CG3 archer, axe, and C1 HA there, so the city is safe.
As you can see, Judaism finally spread as the turn rolled, borders now pop in 2 turns so my worry was for nothing. anyway, Lewwyn can chop them all this turn and retreat completely next turn, or move a worker out and finish the chop next turn. 3 turns to go on the mine chop.
this axe messed up my worker movements here. Ideally I would move the new worker to the tile north of the spice to cottage-chop it, or north of the cottage for another chop. I put one turn into a road here we don't really need because I wasn't sure what else to do to keep it safe from the axe and not waste its turn. This turn it can join the other worker to road the cottage while waiting for the axe to suicide itself against the walled archers. I moved the galley half way between popol and the aeneid, so that just in case the axe decides to pursue the workers instead of attacking they can be loaded onto the galley and moved somewhere for safety.
archer is for song of roland, so the axe won't be permanently tied to that city. Decided it would be too dangerous to evacuate any armies from the aeneid for the time being.

we'll get monarchy in 5 turns. the worker can safely cottage the grassland, and the eastern plains, but will need to be covered to cottage the other plains or build a winery. thats what this spear will be for.
Power demos:
demos at 50% science
we have a 222 GNP at 100%, fwiw. as far as I know only commodore has monarchy and is giving us known-tech bonus.

From the power graph it looks like Azza whipped some units...
Completed: RB Demogame - Gillette, PBEM46, Pitboss 13, Pitboss 18, Pitboss 30, Pitboss 31, Pitboss 38, Pitboss 42, Pitboss 46, Pitboss 52 (Pindicator's game), Pitboss 57

![dance dance](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/dance.gif) we can build war elephants, same as azza. Lewwyn will not have to figure out how to get elephants and catapults built fast ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) .
I think a WE before the market in gilgamesh would work (it takes 6 turns, maybe 5 as we grow next turn. once it completes we will be revolting into OR to speed the market anyway). not sure though. we need settlers and a worker or two also. we need a lot of stuff, really.

Things look pretty good. I do think we're building a bit too many units... but then we're also 7th in power somehow.

yeah it looks like that because our only dangerous is front is with azza, and azza is 9th or 10th in power <G>.
Feel free to slow it down. im happy w/ only 4 elephants (the 3 building plus another in maths). as long as azza isn't building cats or spiking in power we can put off building more than 1-2 of those, I guess. I'd build a settler after the 2nd elephant in maths anyway and if we are still ok build a 2nd settler even. we need to get settlers somehow and maths will produce them the quickest (plus gilgamesh needs to finish the market first).
I built too many spears, but didn't realize it at the time - I didn't really think commodore would give up elephants. but we are short of units in the eastern landmass, so you can always transport our excess units over there.

This guy is really fucking annoying:
![[Image: Aj9w7wT.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/Aj9w7wT.jpg)
I guess I screwed up building an archer instead of a chariot here. I don't understand barb logic - the spear attacked a C1 axe on a forested hill, but this guy won't attack the city just because of a measly CG1 archer, on a hill, with walls and 25% fortify bonus. what a wimp.
ok, the galley will pick up a shock chariot next turn, drop it off in 2, so we should be able to kill him in 4 turns. we need to grow to size 6 to whip out a settler, though, and he's going to start pillaging soon I imagine ![frown frown](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif) . so this actually will hurt our expansion badly, yuck.
Lewwyn, don't skimp to much on units:
also, pay attention to EPs:
I think it was me that put 1 ep on commodore. hoping he'll slow down the EP's he's been putting on us (4/turn until recently, he reduced it to 2 this past turn). I would like to have graphs on him and at least keep him from getting research visibility on us. but if the gap between research visibility on azza and our total eps on him gets too small we should put them all back on azza - keeping visibility on him until we are in a position to attack him again is the most important thing.
song of roland will need a workboat pretty soon after its borders expand in 5 turns:
![[Image: KFQ1ZVY.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/KFQ1ZVY.jpg)
(fish are S, SW)
Song of roland will be almost as good as maths for a military pump. the long term plan is to make the eastern land mass self-sufficient - popol will whip out settlers and workers while roland produces military. will take time and worker turns though. we probably should have started sooner.
![[Image: I8B1tfl.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/I8B1tfl.jpg)
the marble location will be our first popol settler plant. the pigs/gems location is just beautiful, but also quite ambitious - close to serdoa's mainland expansion. we'll have to fill in the tundra iron and possibly the fishing village north of roland first - and then only if we can get song of roland up and going and pumping out military by then. we'll see - if serdoa beats us to this spot im not sure there is much we can do while azza still has a foothold on the mainland.
demos at 50% science:
last turn we had the same GNp and were #2, now we're number #4. hmm.
2 turns until we revolt to OR and HR! yay

wow. Scooter took another city off CFC Jester. I think the amigos will be eliminated in the next 10-20 turns. I could not have seen that coming 50 turns ago. They already had captured all the cities on the big island, so this city must have been on an outlying island. last maps I only saw 2 amigo cities on small islands, so they may only have 1 city left (although there's no guarantee our maps are accurate, since we haven't made contact with cfc jester yet. and it looks like we never will, hehe).
