t40 - Bear Slayer's Lion moves out of sight again, so he heals some more. Wanderer moves SE and spots a Phalanx(!) and a Lion. Maybe it's time to get a Chariot or two built.
Oh, and at the end of the turn we discover Monotheism and found Judaism in Ankara! :D

What's your general short term and long term aims now? Have you really been influenced by all these emails or do you think you'd be in the same position otherwise?
Reading your earlier emails, it seemed like you were in 'superfriend' mode and giving more info than you were receiving, do you see a peaceful game as the most beneficial to yourself?
Just a few questions for you to mull over

t41 - Splash screens for Monotheism & Judaism. Writing started, due in 3t. Judaism in Ankara gives an immediate border pop (Yay!) so Tim stops mining and moves to Pasturise the Cows. Daisy has finished the second cottage at Edirne and moves toput a turn of chopping into the hill before moving to the Gems next turn. Mike completes a chop into the Oracle and it's down to 9t. Will chop one more forest and then probably whip 2-Pop for the last bit in ~5t.
Wanderer killed a Lion on the interturn, so promotes to Woodsman I and moves towards sooooo's borders. I still need to sit down and have another look at the shape of the map now that we know where he is - something to do while mh is away.
Bearslayer decides he's bored of sitting on his hill, and at 0.8/1 moves N to try and find the corner of the map. He finishes on an unforested hill next to a Lion ... could be a close fight.
I was planning to reply to Dantski's questions last night, but unfortunately my machine crashed while trying to create a dual install. I'll post a reply sometime later today.

It interests me that he's reiterated Monarchy as the tech he'd want to bring to the party over all others. I know that he has Writing, so there's no reason he can't research any of the others. I also know that he doesn't have Monotheism, so if he has a pre-req for Monarchy it's Priesthood (interesting for my Oracle bid). I think either this means that he has Wines available and wants to guarantee hooking them up sharpish, or he's trying to mask a play for a Wonder from one of the other techs. Or maybe he's just going for Iron Working and intending to rush someone....

I agree that the 5-way will probably not happen as Ruff originally
proposed it, but to some extent I guess there's a degree of naturally
positioning ourselves to do so anyway - I think at least two have
already pencilled in one of the five techs to research, and it sounds
like you're staking out Monarchy yourself. Even so, I don't think it
requires a commitment to immediately research the techs, as I am
certainly not in a position to do so yet!
As far as our borders go we do have the natural barrier of "Banana
Lake", which I'm sure will form the majority of the border between us.
I expect that as we both settle towards it things will probably work
out naturally, but if you have specific areas of concern we should
probably discuss them sooner rather than later.

Which is interesting. Clearing up those techs offers the religious buildings, access to Monarchy ... Ah! it also offers the opportunity to bulb Theology. I wonder if he stored the first Prophet for that eventuality, or is banking on the 50/50 for the second one.

One of the reasons I want to check the game before committing is to get an idea of what my research time would be on Maths - 12-13t seems a little high, but I want to be sure. Clearly Maths is a tech I want soon to gain access to my super Aqueducts, and if I can get it for. Of course I'll also need to research Meditation, but that should only take a few turns.
I wonder if the fact that he's not asking for Polytheism means he was going for Mono for Judaism....

I can see one region for discussion, but mostly it should fall out fairly easily, I think.

t42 - RIP Bear Slayer (at 50/50). Wanderer moves further towards sooooo's borders.
Tim Pasturising Cows, Daisy put a turn into Roading the Gems and will start Mining next turn when borders pop, and Mike moves W, SW to chop a grass river forest into the Oracle.
Edirne is having MP issues, so switch to a Warrior (due in 4t, growth in 2). Ankara will grow next turn and whip the Granary.
