Sorry, triple post. I meant to collate these separate responses, but didn't.
Bobchillingworth Wrote:While I understand your reasoning here, I worry about the possible consequences of putting pressure on too many people for the sake of seeing how they react under duress. My main concern is that we could end up accidentally causing a power role villager to reveal themselves in a bid to escape the noose. If MJW is to be believed, he has already revealed his own role, and this with only 6 votes on him. Not everyone is as panicky as MJW, but I think it's a risky strategy regardless. Plus it's not like a wolf will break down and confess if votes start going their way, especially with potentially five wolf votes to balance out any "heat" applied to them. It makes more sense to me to employ your tactic when we have voting records and other data to actually press people on & force them to justify.
That's exactly what happened in WW2 in fact, MJW claimed after just 3 votes. The common element here is MJW. In fact the original reason I didn't vote for him today was so that it didn't happen again. He's already non-revealed now though so we can stop worrying about it.
On the whole, yes the village has secrets to keep, in the form of power-roles. But the wolves hold more secrets, and greater information favours the village on the whole. So pushing for information has risks, but it's a net profit.
That's my opinion anyway. People's opinions differ, and it's a common mistake to assume that anyone with a different opinion couldn't possibly be so wrong without being an intentionally-village-sabotaging werewolf. In my experience it's almost never true - even when it is by chance a wolf it's usually their genuine opinion anyway.

The carpenter looks up from sanding the gallows. Interested by this argument of MJW's defense.
"non-revealed"? MJW says he's a normal villager and its a reveal? Yeah I don't buy that. I also don't buy that his actions and posts verify him as an innocent. Unless you're suggesting that if he were a wolf he'd simply reveal it under pressure like he did baner. You think MJW is that stupid... well, disregard that.
He absently runs his sander along the wood, stroking in thought as he searches for the words.
Maybe a better way to put it is, do you think MJW is capable of lying? I say yes. Now, I'm not 100% sure he's a WW in fact its highly likely that he isn't, but I don't think many people have made a great case about anyone else yet. If a better candidate makes an appearance and someone can make a good case I'm willing to switch my vote. Consider it a placeholder.
He looks back the wood admiring the long grain. He couldn't trust people. People turned into monsters. Wood, wood he could trust. He looks up at the overhanging gallows. Beautiful trusty wood.

The herbalist looked up from working on yet another blend, this stuff was getting really strong now, and he was sure it was going to become really popular with the villagers.
Deciding he needed air before he passed out again, he reflected on the villages need for a new mayor, and you know who was always saying really deep profound stuff, it was that Fire & Ice, he was one smart cookie. hmm, cookies
Just crossing the street to get some snacks he saw a large creature covered in wolf fur, who seemed oddly out of place in civilised society. Deciding he looked very suspicious, he ran off to warn the others about Meiz

I feel honored that several people consider me as possible Mayor. But I have to make something clear.
No free drinks. At least not currently.
Now is not the time to get drunk on my wonderful wines. We have a hard ride before us if we want to rid the village of wolves. Those are cunning and devious creatures and we will need our brain functioning correctly to catch them.
But I promise 1 keg of my best 8year old Barrique once the last wolf swings from the Gallow.
To show that I appreciate the shown confidence in me: Rowain

No one wants Sandover as major?
Good call.
Novice sounds good to me.
Bruindane Wrote:Band-wagoning onto fire&ice is low risk and therefore suspicious to me. I'm going to change my vote from [strike]Zakalwe[/strike] to Irgy.
Low risk, yes. But it's also a good thing to spread the pressure at this point. For that reason I think Lewwyn makes for a better target than Irgy, at least for the time being.
I don't want to lynch MJW or fire&ice. The one good reason to lynch either of them, imo, would be because we want to prioritise not killing one of the power roles. MJW said he isn't a power role, and given his previous history I'm inclined to believe him. Also, I don't think fire&ice would place a vote on himself if he was a power role, no matter how much he thinks he deserves to die after moderating WW2. Gut feeling is they're both villagers.

Back in the Herbalist's shop, Zakofonix ducked back up from behind the counter.
Woah, this stuff really is great, Jn.. Jkn.. Jjjke..... Jnjnjn... *sigh*... Jake! I feel really inspired!
Realizing that Jake had actually left the shop, perhaps forgetting he was there to begin with, he shrugged (and giggled). Time to head over to the inn, to see if the Innkeeper's daughter might be finishing her shift soon. Better make a careful approach though, in case that nasty father of hers was around.
As he stumbled his way in the general direction of the inn he mentally composed a piece of poetry.
Roshes are red
Violets are violet
The villagers are blue
'Caushe the wolves are so violent
As he complimented himself on this profound piece, imagining the reception it might get in the square, he passed a dark alley behind the Carpenter's shop. Five figures were huddled there, talking in shushed voices. Zakofonix stopped and tried to focus his eyesight, bemused. He considered approaching them to recite his poem, but his inspired mind had already wandered on and he couldn't recall the details right now. With a shrug, he moved on, abruptly turned the western corner of the stables and tripped face first into a water trough.

How clever of you to try and disguise yourself behind roleplay, Mr Wolf.

Ironically, I was just composing a follow-up OOC post switching my vote away from Sandover, over to Lewwyn. I'd like to see at least 3 lynch candidates "in the running". With just 2 candidates, chances are they will both eventually turn out to be innocent, and we will learn very little from the vote. With 3 candidates, chances are higher that one will be a wolf, which will tell us more in hindsight, even if we end up lynching the wrong one.

I change my vote from PocketBeetle to Lewwyn.
Telepathic communication is allowed, right?
I have to run.
