It definitely seems like the same error as the "files do not match" basically implying that I have a mod installed in CustomAssets. However, my CustomAssets folder has no files in it in my My Games and I've never dropped a mod in that way. It has the folders in it, but a quick select-all and check properties shows all the folders are empty. So... I'm a bit confused. I've had this "files do not match" problem for online games for forever now, but I've always just ignored it as it caused no problems.

From past experience that means you have something weird going on in your installation.

Ok, that showed me the problem. Way back when we did very early RB mod testing, I made a copy of a couple of the tech xml pages and had them in a "testing" subfolder. So that never actually affected the game as I kept the originals intact, but seeing a couple random files that shouldn't be there caused the freak-out. I've got the save open, I'm playing now, and it'll be with Luddite shortly.

Yeah, same thing has happened to me, I just had some extra files around with names like xxxxx.yyyBACKUP and it freaks out even though they have no effect on anything. |
