Ah, the game is paused, I didn't realize. I won't take my turn, then.

It's because he took Pitboss 16 .

He got that side effect you mentioned where he crapped out his own colon?
I think NH is just a guy who says exactly what he thinks and shoots from the hip, and doesn't bother to soften anything or clarify if he's misinterpreted. I'm like that too, but if I'm a 7 out of 10, he's an 11. And Jowy and Ad Hoc immediately rage quitting seems like an overreaction too. Work out the difficulties with axes on Serdoa's map, kids.

Yeah, Jowy quitting was a bit of an overreaction, but I can understand Ad Hoc not wanting to join. I probably would be nervous to join a Pitboss game as a replacement too if I got greeted like that.
That and worried for my colon.

His capital is 10 tiles away from ours, and after we moved to settle away from him? Ouch. That sheep (amazing tile for Financial) is our midpoint.
Good call moving west. Are you considering declaring war and moving NW-NW to see his capital tile? A lot of people do that (and sit on tiles with the scout to prevent working them). If me I probably wouldn't do either just because I'd value peaceful early relationships and the right signals. But some people would laugh at me.
I hope I'm wrong but I believe he's the kind of player who is going to go AH early and try to grab more than his fair share of land toward us.

I'd like to avoid declaring war on the guy with War Chariots, even to scout. Can't we see his capital from the grassland hill anyway?

Maybe this game needs a story thread!
Also, yeah, anyone involved in this game who starts feeling symptoms like upset stomach and diarrhea had better take it easy. It doesn't end well.
