It is a 4-player game after all, sometimes wonders hang around for a long time and we could get TGL late-ish. But maybe someone will prioritize MoM ? Probably not Sumeria because they'll be one tech from monarchy after priesthood in case of happiness problems, therefore Calendar is less appealing. But this is way too far into the future, first we need to get out of the island.
2N of deer is ok for Moai, almost all its non-shared tiles will be coast. But it only has 12 coast to green dot's 10, and only 1 forest to chop into the wonder, maybe it'll take too long to build ?

Green dot is probably better (although it also has just one forest), or some other spot. Like, 2N of deer is not so good that we want to found it especially for Moai, and green dot will already be there. Would be lovely if we find an iceball with stones to get the mids out. Note that we are really constrained on happiness, if not something good appears soon on the mainland. So Representation would be awesome, not only for the specialist beakers.
Oh and if we set up a good MoM plan, settling up there is probably worth it?

I'd like to scout the mainland before agreeing that we desperately need happiness.

Mids will need forests and stone, but I could try that. Let's wait until we know what kind of land there is beyond the channel.

Well as it looks like Commodore liked to put those resources on icy spots. But maybe also on the mainland, who knows...
you think mids isn't possible without stone?
Btw THH could also use his creative superpowers to get the marble via border pop. Just one question that's coming up for me right now - is it actually possible to spread culture to an offshore tile out of the BFC? This was discussed in the PB18 thread of . Though it became a little polemic ![rolleye rolleye](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/rolleye.gif) and I'm not sure if there was a final conclusion. Might sim this some time

Played the turn, no time for screenshots.... Agri is done, we're researching AH, worker finished EOT. Next turn will be full of worker moving action. Moved the scout to 2N of deer; nothign to see on that seas (but he stays around there fog busting)

Mids is aproximately 333h on quick speed, even with 12 forests we'd be far from completion. With stone we need only 8 forests for a fast build.
I'm almost certain culture spreads work regardless of BFC.

Well if neither of our opponents has stone we might even try slowbuilding it with some whips and chops... or get a lucky engineer once we have forges (like, after CoL ![rolleye rolleye](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/rolleye.gif) ). Of course, it is also possible that Commodore put marble iceballs for two players and stone for the other two (in that case yay for GLH ban :D).
Edit: I'm aware that all I write about building mids is extremely wishful thinking thus far but... nothing's happening ingame so I keep speculating here

Yeah we'll have to look for stone on our opponents' resources screen. Everyone is using the floodplains this turn, which is not unexpected but, well, there's nothing happening so it's the most exciting discovery of the turn. I think the scout should head for the desert hill in the southwest to give us some info on the mainland (scout the coast to get there) and then head to the few unexplored spots in the east (actually only the NE near the fish). I'd rather not lose a good spot. Also things will change when we'll have AH and BW, the new resources might make us change our plans.
