I've been planning to transition towards more workshops - as the game progresses new cottages get worse to build due to taking a long time to mature, and new workshops get better thanks to opening up tech. Especially if you have not played much RtR, the cottage supremacy of BtS is gone and depending on who you ask it has been replaced with workshop supremacy. Anyway, right now I'm scattering a few workshops when it's at spots I would want to be production centers later on. I still want cottages in core cities - but once we get to Guilds and get the ability to plant -1f, +4h workshops then it's going to be all farm and workshop spam.
So basically, plant the cottages now, probably 70/30 or 80/20. Keep irrigation lines open for getting cities growing later on, and then when we get the appropriate tech aim to be in Caste and workshop spam for the late game.

Right that's fine. I remember Workshop supremacy. If you want to mark your planned irrigation chains too that'd be okay. I moved the one worker from the 5 stack of workers South 1 to farm that next grassland. It seemed reasonable.
Whip the archer in peiffer I think so that there are 3 archers there.
You can play the turn whenever, if you can't finish it let me know and I can do it this evening.
I'm going to try and rework some logistics later this afternoon too. The only worker micro we need to be careful of is making sure we have workers to get chops into a couple cities T124 for CKN.
I think We can get 4 CKN and 2 Spears into Galleys on T130 and land them on the forest T131. If we get a 4th galley we could stick another axe+spear on it as well. That would be 8 hitters landed and with 4 chariots on the border 12 units hitting T132. We will need a few chops to do it though.

I'm going to be a bit busier today, but should have some time in the evening after you go to bed. I'm working on some lit lectures. Let me know if you work on the unit spreadsheet, or if you want me to do it, or if you start it I can add to it.

Turn 121
Commodore coming through clutch again
It really is to be seen if this helps or hurts us long term. I've got my chariot down scouting for what he is trying to come in with, but so far I only see an opportunistic snipe of a pair of workers. Nothing else in the area shows a huge buildup. But that iron for iron deal did mean something, and perhaps he has other units that are making a serious push against Gav that I don't know about.
We're still 10 turns out from our attack. Gav can have the inland cities, but he better not make progress towards that holy city. And he better not cause Gav to build up forces considerably in our way. So yeah, we'll see...
Did a bit of number crunching with Lewwyn and we are now upping our attack force to be 6 galleys, 1 trireme, 3 swords, 6 CKNs, and 3 spears to land on the forest by Elephantine. Then an additional group of chariots by Dahlmeier can also move against hte city on that turn, as well as whatever units we pump out that were too late for the boats.

Civil Service after Machinery, right?
Other options are:
- Religious Line to Monarchy (needed for several goals, like Knights, or opening up civics of Vassalage or Theocracy)
- Engineering. Don't underestimate 3-move roads and pikes with our army composition
- HBR & Construction to unlock more classical era units
But I think maces and spreading irrigation is the right one

Yes CS first, but for a different reason. Let's get CS, pop the GA, swap into Burea and confu>ride it to monarchy and Theocracy>Swap into HR and Theo at the end of the GA.
Can we get Organized Religion before we pop the GA? How long would OR take to get? Then pop the GA and get both Burea and OR and chop those 3 Kingsbury forests into the Moai with the 25% build bonus and swap into theo at the end of GA?

Turn 122
Eyes on Commodore: they're still at war, but no real units spotted yet.
I just want to profess my love for this city:
And we'll show Gerard too, because Lewwyn has a plan for getting CKNs and swords out of here:
EDIT: Oh duh, I'm blind. Comm took or razed a city just south of Dahlmeier.

Civstats says comm didn't take any more cities. Also only whipped once. Gav hasn't whipped the last two turns. Doesn't seem like too hot a war.
