(Spoilers) Superdeath's Mean Green Eating Machine

Exchanged 2 catapults ( plus 3 units that will 99.9% likely die if France does the right move.. ) to kill 4-5knights ( lost count ) that were forking my cities. Yay for not having engineering...

Mjmd has 2 galleys that are going to cause some annoyance. So even after my triremes kill this French galley, they will need to move south to prevent Mjmd from mind-fking me into believing his galleys are fullyloaded with like crossbows or something.

I debated deleting the units that killed the knights that are within range of Frances stack. But... there is a chance that he either A: Doesnt kill them and i get to run them away and heal for another day.. or B: slight chance that across a river, my spear kills 1 knight? Maybe? Either way... i like GG points.

Lurkers need to call this game. France has 0% chance of winning, as i will be putting up too much of a fight for him to get the land needed ( unlike....say, GKC?! ) Everyone other than Plemo/ElGrillo is out of the running. If El Grillo believes he can chew thru Vanrober and get enough land to beat Plemo, then by all means we can play on and i will continue to be bitter about the map and Plemo's Vet Status.. But if not, some kind lurker please call this fun-filled game so that i can quit worrying about making this turn.

This stuff was cute when grabbing Astro needed a buff on pb40's map. Here? Obnoxious.

Really wish i had knights of my own.

Oh looky, France could have invaded someone and been close enough to Plemo's core afterwords to then.... Actually have a chance of winning! Hoozah!

I wanna give props/hats off/murderous looks to the following players:

Props to Mjmd. For being the most painful elimination (attempt) ive had thus far in my pb history. You had a well oil'd machine of a civ, but got a bad luck on neighbor draw and then worried me that we couldnt be long term friends when you declared war on me. I had a LONG, thought out plan to attack France. Wouldnt have gone anywhere because im apparently the only one suffering from maintenance woes.

Hats off to El Grillo. For pulling off a successful Hannibal of Egypt rush ( pb44  cry  ) You seemed to have had it all, but apparently Plemo is the TBS/Mackoti of the Germans.. so we all basically just had to be unsportsmanlike and conduct a crusade on Plemo, or just be another notch on his belt.

Plemo... great game, well played, just wish the community either knew... or cared that you were this strong. Also... small props for pulling off what i still think is the weirdest god damn combo.. Stealing my leader while taking the dutch.

Lost basically all of my catapults due to stubborn withdraw mechanics and knights have alot of hp... but killed his entire "main?" stack he had with his own catapults. I also suicided a couple catapults onto his mini stacks near my capital/cottage city which "should" prevent the city from falling this turn. But if his trebs get some sorta magical good luck and collateral ALL my units ill be rather irritated.

Still waiting on this game to be called. popcorn popcorn popcorn popcorn

We are JUST far enough apart that settling on copper and whip/chopping out a pair of axes would lead to some really far borders between my cities. Wish my scout hadnt died so i could see where Mjmd's copper is suppose to be.

Also those gems are going to help fuel the research towards some fun things in the future.

I have to know, why did you decide to settle on the copper? Saved you. Moving my capital while making my copper city SUCK (and slowing me down horrendously lack of early game with picks nonwithstanding (loved the meme). It did however mean I could pump axes out of both cities and hit you with a sizable number. I haven't read anything else yet, but this was the question I was most curious about. That and why you didn't attack me like 20-30 turns earlier lol. If I hadn't been multiple kinds of stupid I should have had crossbows and maces by the time you attacked.

1st: I settled on copper because Ruff slapped me in pb49 and i got a bit paranoid about not having defenses.

2nd: I hadnt realized how far ahead tech wise France was, and had a LONG battle plan for taking them out.

Fun thread superdeath, and I'm glad we had a peaceful border the entire game. There were a lot of turns where a couple of Galleys full of Praetorians could've really ruined my day, but there was basically nothing I could ever do about it so I just kinda hoped it wouldn't happen smile

The meme reviews were appreciated as always, this one in particular:
