I think in past years we have just played with a long timer of 7 or 10 days. So everybody who wishes can play a turn and marvel at their civ, but no pressure. Fwiw I would also be fine with a 2-3 days timer but I may be on the more PB enthused site. Just come back everybody after vacations

I would really appreciate a longer timer. Playing a turn every 36 h is quite taxing already at this stage of the game, even without christmas.

I've increased the timer for the christmas time. I personally have no problem to return to a 48 h turn after christmas, if that is ok with you.

Whoops, clicked on Superdeath’s thread instead of my own (TBS’s). I am surprised it took until now for that to happen, since the titles are somewhat related. I only caught a brief post of my own actions from about 10 turns ago, and have mostly relinquished the gameplay to SD anyway.

We should re-shorten the timer with the New Year, probably. I remember Charriu mentioned 48 hours, how would people feel about that? Otherwise we could revert back to 36 hours. I personally would slightly prefer the 48, but I'm not too stressed either way. Also open to keeping it longer for now, if people are on holidays.

To us small peasents, that feels really long.. but i dont have 100+ cities to manage. (also the German folks tend to have a much longer timer anyway)
