we are getting dangerously close to breaking rule #15 here, be careful.

Serdoa Wrote:So you say that Bigger did sent out at least 3 different role descriptions for neighbour? Apparently.
People wondered why I was not nightkilled so far. It's obviously because otherwise Injera would have received votes based on metagame. "Would bigger create two Nap neighbors with identical abilities". No.

Rule 15 Wrote:15. Directly quoting role PMs or other communication from the GM isn't allowed.
I was assuming that this really meant copying and pasting the role PM text. Not sure if you just wanted to make sure that thestick does not do that or if you also believe that the spirit of the rule is that thestick shouldn't answer my question at all. Let me (hopefully) make it more according to the rules:
thestick, does your role-PM tells you
a) that your neighbour does not know your alignment
b) that you don't know your neighbours alignment
c) both
Please just answer a, b or c.
Is that fine with the rule Bigger? I'm unsure. I think the spirit of the rule is that role-PMs shouldn't be used to confirm the alignment of a player so that the wolves are not disadvantaged by outside circumstances. But in this case, Meiz himself told us all that stuff, so if he is a wolf he brought that on himself on is disadvantaged by his own play. We just use now what he wrote himself.
Though, and thats why I am asking, I don't want to rule-lawyer this. If you feel that we are dangerously close to breaking the rule (in spirit not by its wording as I am sure thestick was never intending to copy&paste your role-PM) then please state it here and I'm fine to drop the topic about what thestick was told about his neighbour-role completely and just go with the evidence we have due to Injeras and Meizs discussion here in the thread (for me thats enough anyway to doom Meiz).

paraphrasing is ok. I don't think it was broken yet, I just want to make sure it isn't.

Bobchillingworth Wrote:- Zak comes out of this looking suspicious as hell. First he ties the vote by voting for Selrahc, then he switches off of Selrahc after the baner claim but avoids making a vote against Injera, and then finally he makes a feeble attempt to get an almost literally last-minute dogpile on Maniac going (which could have theoretically worked, enough players were viewing the forum at that point).
Why don't you just admit that you first decided who to suspect, and then went through the last hours of voting and stamped every vote by a suspect as suspicious, and every vote by a non-suspect as just peachy? Your whole post that I'm quoting from here is ridiculously naive. About my own voting, I stated quite clearly that Injera read as innocent to me. Should I then just sit back and let him hang? That's why I said I'd better put my money where my mouth is, which meant I had to vote for Selrahc to save Injera. When Selrahc claimed, I went for thestick, because I knew BRickAstley was around and I thought his argument about "where is thestick now that the shoe is on the other foot?" made some sense. I had already spent the day trying to get Maniac lynched, so I knew that wasn't going anywhere, but I clarified my stance on that once again, just in case. Also, I thought Injera was innocent, and we had either put two villagers on the block, or Selrahc was trying to make the best of his death by making the doctor outing himself. In that context, thestick made a lot of sense as a wolf, and I knew for sure that he wasn't the real doctor. (Barring some weird neighbor+doctor combo.)
The funny thing about your argument is that you say I'm suspicious both for stating openly that I read Injera as town, AND for trying to save him. You even say I was trying to "justify" my not voting for Injera. You're not making sense, at all.
Bobchillingworth Wrote:Oh hey I guess I'm a trusted villager now right?
If by "trusted", you mean "confirmed", then the answer is obviously a big fat no. Either way, be careful so you don't abuse your position. You're assuming that the wolves are stupid, which is a very dangerous assumption. I don't mind defending tomorrow, if that's what it comes down to, but I don't want everybody to unquestioningly ride your coattails. I am not a wolf, and I doubt some of your other scumreads too, so I sincerely doubt that things are so simple as you make them out to be.
If you know what I mean.

zak, what do you think of my argument that Meiz is obviously our next lynch-target and of my arguments for him being a wolf?

My thoughts also went immediately to him when I learned that Injera was a wolf. Not for metagame reasons, but because I remembered him saying that he preferred either Selrahc or me over Injera.
I guess your meta-argument about the role PMs is valid, too. And I don't buy his argument for why he is still alive. Or actually, I'm not even sure what he's getting at here:

Can you clarify, Meiz? "Would Bigger create two NAP neighbors with identical abilities", is that what you imagine people would have asked after you were dead? Or is it your own argument for why you aren't NAP, given what we now know?
Anyway, I wouldn't go so far as to say Meiz is "obviously" the one to lynch next. I'll need to think about that some more. (Though I understand why you want to discuss it now.)

That's actually a bit misleading
"If Meiz wasn't NAP = Injera is NAP" is what I think would have been the conclusion after my death.

Why do you think Maniac is a misguided villager?
