I believe it's telling you what the result would be if you chose to whip the city.

Tower defense success in the north...

...so now let's see the damage for Wave #2 in the south.


He's barely got enough to defend, but those citadels mean I need my own galleons to crack him.

Tower defense: Success. Pindicator peaced out. I suspect he's still too chicken of Thoth to fight.


There were potentially two pretty good cities to settle between Pindicator Border and Main Me, but I need speed to get up and running. Two decent food sources will have Arabian contributing very fast.

...and the reason I have research on that build queue is because I dropped Astronomy to a single turn by a single beaker.


After landing Astronomy, I set to Gunpowder, which looked like a 4t research, or 6t after taking off the research skew, except I'm now losing 3gpt at 0%. Oops. Uh...


Then this turn, Thoth came in with this offer. I think he wants me to declare on Scooter.

It is now Turn 104. Let's look at the tape...

Interesting shake-ups. Scooter had an offer:

...which I accepted.

So, I've agreed to peace until at least Turn 110, and I won't reneg on that deal. After...it's a choice.


Scooter's rallied in an impressive fashion. He just landed Astronomy himself, and his golden age has given him a full swarm of great people, including a Great Engineer.

I'm frustrated by the geopolitics, a little. My neighbors both seem kind of despairing, unwilling to fight Thoth directly, but are very willing to block me. Meanwhile, I'm kind of stuck for converting my phenomenal military into gains, while I'm extremely underwater to actually research, uh, anything other than with Great Merchant "bulbs". Gunpowder -> MilSci would be lovely for a commando factory, but it's defacto a million miles away right now. Mired in the Warmonger Trap while the other warmonger has frankly better gain options. No idea what I'm going to do.

You know, for a minute there I was looking at Scooter's land and cities and realized it might be better than mine...


... but then he broke the 30t agreement, early, so...

I'm the most paper of tigers. After I finish Engineering, I'm going to have to rotate Wealth builds just to avoid striking.

Why am I top power now? Because Scooter mauled Thoth's invasion, so there's going to be a return next turn or the turn after. Might have to burn those two cities and weather the storm.

Mass castles incoming along with a third island city in America's horse island. Protection plus trade commerce.
