Yeah, must be missing some roundings. Also I think the EP spending factor is calculated internally to full precision and not just two decimals. I pretty much never see the EP cost calculation come out perfectly accurate.

Here are the calcs - also shown in this post here.

modifier = .8 * .6 * 1.21 * .5 * .74 = 0.2149 (round down to 0.21)

Cost = 1039 * .21 = 218

Seems all of the rounding in this situation goes for me smile.

Note that I only have -40% stationary bonus. It takes me about 1.3 turns at max science to tech IR. It takes me about 0.47 turns to get enough EPs to steal IR. I just need to pump out about 10 spies and get the progression going then I should be able to steal a tech a turn for quite a few turns.

My bet re city names with NSA came in with me winning the game by selecting 'Jaffa'. I told them to consider it my contribution to Engineering.

War is brewing with the other 3 people chatting to me (mostly TT and Peg) about dog piling NSA. I am considering the 'cancel NAPs all round' gambit to confuse the issue with NSA.

Who said anything about #2. I feel as if I am right where I want to be - matching tech via EP, very nice hammer production that I don't have to waste on libs or uni, close to my UB ... would be really nice if I can get things to line up ...
