Turn 23-40: Black hole of Archery Despair
I could tell you a lot about these turns. I could regail the lurkers with blow by blow accounts as the Archers advanced onto Kuriotate Lands. How they pillage our lands. How we, the valiant defenders sped to Horseback Riding and got Centaurs out to fight this menace.
How this assault on our lands became a cat and mouse game of manoeuvring. My speed against his defence. The Shocking twist as a third Orcish Archer appeared on the horizon and joined in and ruined our chances at stopping this menace.
I COULD tell you all about this with words and pictures but it's pointless. Especially when a before and after picture works so much better to sum up this depressing era in our nation.

At this point the Archers had already pillaged the plantation once and it had been rebuilt as bait to lure them onto flat ground. They stick to forests and hills.
It was around this point where Ichabod and I basically decided that we were ruined unless we took some risks with expansion. Nothing can dislodge 3 Longbow equivilant archers from a hill this early in the game. So we locked them onto the hills and went for a settler push followed by a Worker spam.
I'll put up some more modern pictures in a bit because I need to cordinate the deforesting and roading of the area around the Goblin Archers. A bit of a risk but at this point we laugh at risks! :neenernee
so far I am up to 7 workers and 3 cities living under goblin sight and Ichabod is up to 2 cities and living under MASSIVE waves of skeletons. It's pretty insane down there. After this seventh worker i'm going to spam centaurs to help up the defence of the realms before pushing out the last 2 cities I can hold and then helping Round off the Hippus Empire with more settlers.
We should probably decide what tech to grab next as well.
